arbit Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) Thanks to all the advice from the Workbench team along the way. Edited February 9, 2017 by arbit Quote
NZEOD Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 your using Arduino? I have a flicker program that you can load up to make the engines flicker and glow more randomly and subtley if you want it Quote
arbit Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 I use the Arduino board only as a power source. Actually haven't learned how to use it yet other than that. Would need a simple tutorial to get into it. Quote

MechTech Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Looks great Arbit! The fiber optics along with the engines give it life. Looks like you're getting the hang of it! - MT Quote

I'll never reach your level, but I hope you were tickled to see something new. Zentraedi don't get enough attention. Edited June 12, 2016 by arbit Quote
Steve71 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I just build this model, minus the lights. Looks great, very inspiring. Quote
arbit Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 I'm trying to make better photos, but it's really tough to get the lighting right with the leds. Quote
SebastianP Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 It's a nice build, shame the kit itself looks so badly proportioned. (from what I can tell, it's way too wide in the forward section, in the anime the nose of the ship always looked taller than it was wide, and here it looks the other way around.) Quote
arbit Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) Oh, the kit's terrible. No doubt about that. And that's the driving factor for this custom in the first place: how can I make it beautiful? These ugly 80s kits are the only official Zentran battleships out there. Could we get something new now with Delta driving the market? I hope so. Edited June 28, 2016 by arbit Quote

arbit Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 Maybe we could tempt someone to release something in-scale with Hasegawa's SDF models... Then I assume it would be about 4 feet long! Quote
SebastianP Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Then I assume it would be about 4 feet long! 3' 4", going by the official length. It'd be the size of a 1/350 modern aircraft carrier, or one of the big Space Battleship Yamato kits, so not completely unheard of, just unlikely. Quote

arbit Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 Ok. Cleaned up the wires and battery. I guess this is final (no hands version). Quote
