Roy Focker
Sigh a month isn't enough time to plan a visit unless you already live a couple hours away or were already planning to visit.
Mazinger
Is there any word on which days and what times SK will be doing a panel on? I can't attend all 4 days, but could spring for the day the he'll be doing a panel. I haven't been able to find the schedule via the website yet. The schedule isn't up yet, but should be within the next few weeks when they have all of their guests finalized. I'll be attending AX on Saturday so hopefully his panel will be on that day. I would love to get some valkyries signed by him, but I fear the line to get into the line for the autographs will be beyond ridiculous. NBasara
I haven't had a reason to go to AX in years, but this year I have two! Jam Project and SK. Don't even know if I'll be able to go...................
UN Spacy
Macrossworld staff/users planning to attend Kawamori's panel(s)? Can someone please record the entire thing?
sanmai
what?... what? oh man... I haven't been to AX in over a decade... last time I went was when he did a panel and had the Macrossworld meeting... what, 2002 or something? someone post the schedule! Jasonc
I can't wait to go to this. There's gonna be several of us in the ranks. I already got my seats for the concert night with one of the performers being Jam Project. I'm planning on going to whatever Kawamori has planned, so I'll be around. as far as filming it, it really depends on how much space is on my phone. sh9000
I can't wait to see Kawamori and get his autographs on my Valkyries!
Jasonc
Apparently, there's a large group of us going. This is gearing up for a great 4 days or so.
SuperHobo
The schedule is up! And Kawamori's panel is on Saturday July 2nd at 7:30pm. This blows for me because the main concert I'm going to starts at 7pm.
sh9000
Shoji Kawamori guest panel at 7:30-8:30 pm on Saturday. Woo hoo! Getting my Valkyries ready.

rye23
Is it a ticketed event?
SuperHobo
Nope! Free. First come, first serve.
Mazinger
Well, I might be able to go after, any idea how long in advance one would have to lineup to get into the hall for the event? Not autograph signing, mind you.
SuperHobo
I'm going to say to get a decent seat you should start lining up 1-2 hours in advanced. 3 hours if you want an even better seat.
rye23
How about for an autograph? Do we need tickets for that? Or you just line up after the panel?
SuperHobo
Here's a link for the steps to get an autograph: http://www.anime-expo.org/how-to-get-an-autograph/ If the autograph line didn't get crowded around 4-5am I would go, but forget that. sanmai
haven't been to one in a while, not liking how the autograph session is setup. used to be you go to panel, at the end of panel you wait in line, get your autograph. no extra ticket to buy. first come first serve. you already paid for the ticket to get in. why all these extra charges. they are now making us fight over a ticket to get an autograph starting at 8am? and if you are fast enough, you don't get priority and have to stand by? my only interest in AX is to see Shoji Kawamori's panel and get something signed at the end... that would be my only reason for going to AX. after the panel/signing, I'm going home. don't want to spend all freaking day and night at AX. Jasonc
The schedule is up! And Kawamori's panel is on Saturday July 2nd at 7:30pm. This blows for me because the main concert I'm going to starts at 7pm. I thought about selling my concert tickets, but apparently, that concert is 4 hours, and because of that, I'll just do both. I'm actually going to be there all 4 days. Between the Macross cosplay gathering, Kawamori panel, autograph sessions, interviews, and an annual dinner, it's going to be a long, but good weekend. SuperHobo
I'm thinking of doing the same. Kawamori hasn't been to AX since 2002, so I can't let this go moment go. I just hope I don't miss JAM project, Eir Aoi or TM Revolution during the concert. All of the rest I can skip.
Mazinger
Curious if there were any plans for any kind of an MW meet-up before or after the SK panel?
Save
I'll be working the pAworks booth in the Entertainment Hall, so stop on by. I hope we can all manage a meet up during the con, maybe a late dinner. Actually most of the SeakerPODcast are here for AX, minus Tochiro. Renato
Yes, and I will be there giving a talk about sci-fi, robots, idols, magical girls and how some things have changed and some have not in the past few decades... Which means, a lot of Macross content!! If you have time, check it out! Details: https://animeexpo2016a.sched.org/event/7QQB Also I prepared some work related to "Shirobako" (if you're a Macross fan you should watch it because of a very "Ichiro Itano"-like character) which should hopefully be on display at the PA Works booth that Save will be prowling around, so keep a lookout!
