I just put a deposit on this Vermilion Bird over at ShowZ I really like these 3rd party Gundam Toys after finding them. it would not surprise me if in China or Korea these toys did not have cartoon shows based on them.

This toy looks like a true work of art! really amazing, I just love the whole Dark Phoenix's feel it has.

My Ace Toys Zaku just came in, went with the Shin Matsunaga colourway.

The tampos they used are very weird, phrases like "please get out of here" and "arrow only" are on the legs and other spots.
Just don't get close enough to read them.

The bazooka has a led at the end to light up the effect part included. Not sure what you're supposed to do with the missile pod accessories.
It came without any instructions.

Reminds me of the waterslide decals that came with the old soft vinyl mad cat from battletech. It had things like caution decals that said” if you can read this you’re looking too close”

Friend of mine doing gunpla mentioned abt LED's not listed in the product pages. But from the unboxing LED and motor seems to be included.

So will have to see along the way or release day if the LED's and motors for bazooka included.

Hopefully bandai doesnt get a whiff of this and shut it down before that.

Sorry if I got this in the wrong thread, but Hobby Lobby has these canvas prints for about $25-30 (full size photo for detail). The print wraps around the edges.  - MT

It probably is the wrong thread, but I gotta say that that does look really cool

That looks cool.

About the post, I think it’s fine. It just says Third Party Gundam. As long it’s not officially released by Bandai, then it’s good to post it here, right? Even though this thread started with 1/72 Strike Gundam. We’ve already seen other figures and kits as well. So yeah. :good:

Thanks guys! Right now it looks cool hanging up in the living room until my wife finds something more "decorative neutral"😁 I got it for my son's room.  - MT

Cabinet could barely contain him and his giant axe...

Spectacular figure Moshowtoys... only gripes were it initially arrived disintegrated, but managed to put humpty dumpty back together. That and one of the pegs going into a scabbard holder broke off in the part. Wrecked everything to get it out.

Submitted a help request at ShowZstore to see if they could replace the two parts.

Think this shelf is done.

The reviews on the white Moshow takeda have been less than stellers.  Broken parts , poor fitment and faded shades of white have been the common complaints. I had to super glu some things on mine but  I still dig it. Not as cool as the red one but still worth having

I must've gotten lucky then. Nothing was outright broken and it all went together well. The rest holds together fine, too... No loose or disintegrating joints. I did have poor fitment with the scabbard holders, but ShowZStore/MoShow are sending me replacement parts.

I also noted some of the gripes, but they're easy to overlook in my case.

Looks like this went under our radar. A third party Metal Build (Frame) JUSTICE GUNDAM. No box shown on the video just the plastic tray and manual. Probably it's a sample model since this one didn't show up to any online stores yet (ShowZ and Gundamit). If the price is right, why not? ;)

I ended up buying that KO justice and for the price its not bad. Came with a few broken items to be glued back and weak wrists but its  a great alternative to the $300 bandai version. The Fatum also has rear thrusters that pull out when you open the flaps and it has clear smoke pieces for the guns in the front.

There is also an alternative for the MB Crossbone X1 now too

I've been seriously eyeing this PG scaled Tallgeese (Nilson Works Monument):

Love dem child bearing hips.

I’ve seen the preorders for it and I do like this in comparison to a lot of other third party stuff. Most of the third party items kinda have a junky kind of look to them, while this one has a more elegant style to it

I've been thinking about it too, but I just can't bring myself to buy one "so close, yet so far, to doing TV colors".  Just, way too much black on the upper half.   Bandai constantly releases "EW colors", then makes proper TV colors only P-Bandai, and only HG not MG.  Then 3P comes along and does "almost" TV colors.

My kingdom for a nice big TV-colored Tallgeese.  Besides my ancient Tallgeese 3 kit built as TG 1 and repainted...

*if they'd made it with too much white, it'd be easy to paint black.  But the opposite is way too much effort, especially if you want it to look good and not interfere with joints etc---primer, layers, etc.

Not sure if it counts as its own thing for a separate thread or for a third party gundam item. Just got the SNAA model for the Iron Sickie 🤮. I saw a couple reviews on it and it sounds pretty neat and both reviews made fun of the name. Of course they probably meant Iron Sickle, but the kit does look pretty sick. Supposedly it goes together similarly to a RG kit, although this is BE for beyond exquisite. It kinda looks like something that could fit in a few actual gundam settings since it has aesthetics that look a little IBO and some that resemble unicorn and even a little ZZ or might even fit in with seed.IMG_3140.jpeg.88fb98c097e8530123f57fc53884a906.jpegIMG_3143.jpeg.6994d072d85c16258337452eb65f5ebf.jpegIMG_3144.jpeg.94bacc34e830fa5f4518d27422ec9304.jpegseems to have a pretty big box, gonna check the contents in a bit. One of the big pluses for this is the inexpensive price. Got it for $20 with shipping. Some places have it for more, and according to the reviews, it has been found for about $10 bucks. Full inner frame and looks like everything is pretty much color separated. I couldn’t pass it up since it kinda looks a bit like a sinanju and a bit of an R Jarja, so I’ll see how it goes. I do hear that some parts may be too tight and may require a little sanding or drilling for fit.

It looks quite stocky, I like it.  My knee jerk reaction to seeing it was being reminded of something from Vanguard Bandits, a PS1 rpg.

It’s very different than the other kits I saw from the company. They looked much thinner and more gundamish. When I saw a review for this, I didn’t even know it had been out for a little bit. It looks somewhat Zeon inspired, yet could stand out as its own thing at the same time as something non gundam related, it kinda felt a bit different in overall design and I just had to buy it, especially since it has such a cheap price. Probably gonna start building it this weekend, just due to the fact that I know I don’t have to paint anything on it
