F360 Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 moshow stuff is good. I also love their Strike and Buster. The lighting system with the remote shown on the preview would most liklely be a add-on purchase. Quote

sqidd Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I'm really new to Gundam, and really, really new to 3rd party Gundam. Can you guys give me a hand here. Is the mech in this video the one I have linked in ShowZ? The ShowZ pics don't show (no pun intended) as many accessories. Much appreciated! https://showzstore.com/pre-order-jianggao-model-1-100-msn-04-sazabi-metal-build-ver-ka_p1552.html Quote
sqidd Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Additionally, am I assuming correctly that these three following figures are assembled and painted? I don't have the time or skill to finish "kits". anime52k8 Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Disappointing that it's sold out, I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted it or not. I was holding back because I kind of hate the proportions of the MG ver. Ka and I generally don't like greeble heavy Dress up kits like the one this is based on. That said the video really does a good job of selling it and now I kind of want one. (I hate those fuel tanks though, they're awful). Quote

I was hoping that didn't mean that they had sold their allotment. Looks like that may be the case? It took my PO anyway. Does that mean maybe I'll get one if people drop out once it becomes available? Do things like this become available from scalpers after release? I'm getting this thing, even if I pay a markup. JakCrow Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Where's a link to the Metal Myth Sinanju? Quote
no3Ljm Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Good thing I put an order on that Sazabi months ago. I'm not sure with the Sinanju though. If there's a version that doesn't have that metallic plating, would like to have one to display it besides Sazabi. Now the question would be, which company is going to do a 1/100 Nu-Gundam? Quote

Once Bandai pushes their Metal Structure Nu gundam out, maybe the same guys making the Sazabi will do the Nu. Hopefully, Papa Bandai will keep a blind eye to all of this metal shenanigans going on. Hopefully they produce more hero units. As good as this looks, 1/72 scale is a deal breaker for me, as it's not going to match any other mobile suit toys or models I have on my shelves. If it had been in either 1/100 scale or 1/144 scale (or there about), I would likely have pre-ordered it. Quote
JakCrow Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 There's a KO of the MB Aile Strike up for pre-order now. Looks a bit rough right now, but the photos don't appear to be final release. If Bandai ends up releasing a bunch of striker packs, this could be a good alternative to gettting another $250 MB Strike for each pack. https://showzstore.com/metal-kingdom-mg-1-100-gat-x105-strike-gundam_p1895.html Quote
chyll2 Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) @JakCrow imo the price is close to the web exclusive Strike. The finish needs improvements (I saw a different set of photo, not from the showzstore photo) even for a marketing material. I really like the Copies made by MC (the brand that released the 00, SF and Destiny) but this one seem to miss a lot. Edited December 18, 2019 by chyll2 Quote

I haven't seen anything except a listing on amazon.co.jp under $250 that's actually in stock. Quote

If I understand correctly, I think what's chyll2 referring is that you can get the original MB Strike as close to the KO price if you're just going to use it for the upcoming packs since he's seeing imperfection which he posted on his reply on the photos that they posted. Correct me if I'm wrong though, chyll2. Quote

I think for its price, it's a nice alternative if you want to display all of the upcoming Strike Packs. Now, I know this is a KO. It would be nice if they would also do a version or a variant that has the original color or a matte version rather than metallic. Quote
chyll2 Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Matte deactivate mode would greatly be appreciated Quote
eXis10z Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 I'm a little skeptical of the KO strike. I'm sure the manufacturers are particular over the ones they sent for advance reviews to ensure they look good. Not sure the mass release will be as good as the reviewed one. Quote

I took a chance and PO'd it. I've got a Steel Legend Kshatriya and I think it's great. I know it's not apples and apples. But it is a KO. As far as sending out nice copies to reviewers that's par fore the course. Major car and powersports manufactures do the exact same thing (Chevy, Dodge, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, Kawasaki I know for 100% sure). It's pretty much "all industry" standard. It's not something you can point to as nefarious. Well, you could. But if you did, you would have to start questioning some of the big brand stuff you probably own right now. Quote
Sanity is Optional Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 The Steel Legend Kshatriya is pretty awesome, I was blown away by the quality on the paint/tampo work. Hell, it had better nub removal than my Bandai figures. Quote

anime52k8 Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 hmm. it looks interesting but not nearly as refined as the Sazabi or Kampfer. Quote
