The Third Party Gundam Thread

Recommended Posts

from the box art of the review it seems they use 2 separate companies , 1 for each box. There's no instruction on how to assemble (pretty easy) , it just happen by chance that they can switch and match. wink, wink. This is there way of getting around any copyright issues. I can see them trying to importing these to USA webstores. One store sells BoxA and another store sells BoxB. Or even both at the same store too.

The joints looks real tight and I'm glad they removed the Fake logos, (I can now put real decals on them instead). And some of the color changes like removing the silver metal grill from the center of the gundam to a more matching blue color.

Overall, the moshow 00Q looks pretty good. I'm also glad they removed the fake logos. The chest joint looks a little loose, but nothing major. It would have been cool if he had batteries to show the LED gimmick. Even though bandai has this guy in the pipeline they haven't done LED gimmicks for their metal build line yet.

Nice. ;)

Question though, so both boxes will come in one order, yes?

yes, they should be. unless the site decides to split the item number, but then you should be able to tell from the pricing.

Sorry new to this scene. Newb question: Is there any KOs of metal build gundams?

Yes. First is Seven Swords 00 Gundam, and I think the 00 Raiser has been released too. There were early pictures of Strike Freedom and Destiny also WITH wings of light!

I don't recall if anyone posted direct links to those KOs here as they really are KOs, as opposed to MoShow and FanMade releases which are not copies of Bandai MB.

Yeah not interested in model kits. Got a metal composite rx-79 and now i have appetite for more. Unfortunately they are hard to get for a reasonable price. I was hoping KOs would help satisfy the craving.

These ko will definitely satisfy your craving .  They are not model kits

Hmm That strike looks temping.

That strike is a 1/72 scale by moshow.  Its the best 3rd party gundam that i know.  Theres some nice photo on the frist couple of pages on this thread and some video reviews on youtube.  The power core was redone to be more hidden from the sample review.  Its like a smaller perfectgrade.

another review of the Moshow ooQ is up,

This one shows more detail of the actual figure , more close up, new hidden details on the back of the leg.

be careful when removing head,

But it's not a full review because he already review the early sample.

Does anybody have experience with these kits? Is the plastic ABS or styrene (description even says PVC)?

the Daban/Dragon Momoko kit plastic are ABS and Styrene (PS). I can say it has a fitting issue (not really a show stopper but it is there, it does not have the Quality of Bandai and this applies to the third party or KO products) but most people used to building it are trimming a bit of plastic from the male pegs. Though newer people does not do it and they usually complain about aching thumb trying to sandwich parts together.

So for the Moshow 1/100 OOQ, I ended up ordering 1 on ebay.

The seller is bababobo00712 (have tons of good feedback, and the members of TFW2005 seem to vouch for him)

The price is US $148.88 shipped.  But they have a auto coupon that will subtract $5 for very $120 purchase so the real TOTAL will be $143.88 then whatever ebay buxx.

Looks like he have 1 left now.

That gallery ^ is HOT HOT HOT! A shame I don't have the money for this now. Unless I cancel something......hmmm. I hope bababoo gets more in stock later.

I just noticed they updated the headsculpt over their first prototype, which was my biggest problem with it! The final production head looks fantastic! Very mean and aggressive.
