Sumdumgai Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 I was on Yahoo Japan when I came across this thing! yahoo japan auction I've seen bootlegs of M7 valks before, but I've never seen a bootleg with a completely new color scheme like this before! What would you guys nickname this thing? The Crusader Valkyrie? Paladin Valkyrie? (if the link doesn't work I could post the pics I saved from the auction) Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 (edited) that thing is just...fugly that paint job is an insult to gundam and macross <_< Edited January 6, 2004 by Dat Pinche Haro! Quote
Blaine23 Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Heh... and some of you folks thought the Sound Force color schemes were as ugly as possible... Guess not. Quote
Commander McBride Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 ooh, I want! I actually really like the color scheme! The Gundam Shield is a little odd, though. Quote
Vostok 7 Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 No, the M7 Clown Valkries were way worse. I like it. I'd like to pick one up... Little sumthin' sumthin' to cover the stupid "face" and a repaint and that'd be one sweet looking -19. Vostok 7 Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Someone posted another thread about that Valkyrie, apparently it's a custom and not a knock-off. Kudos for getting a custom, however ugly, box to house it. Quote
turd Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Hmmm... what have we got there... VF-19RX78? Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 a friend of mine made a Titans (from Z Gundam) VF-1S out of a banpresto...it actually came out really good...but that thing is just a monstrosity... <_ Quote
Uxi Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 (edited) Hmmm... what have we got there... VF-19RX78? That's what I'm talking about. Still all white with more... Macross... detailing wouldn't be too bad. That thing is begging for a custom paintjob over what it's got... Hopefully that boot will show up as often as the blazer and fire bootlegs do. newca Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 sorry to dig this up, but I just got a "Gundam Valk" yesterday, it IS a "real" knock off of Bandai 1/65 VF-19kai, made in somewhere China. it has many metal joints, the quality is better than usual 1/55 VF-1 bootlegs IMHO. although I never get a hand on the original Bandai VF-19, but this one is really tough and playable. just my opinion for you who may happen to catch it on ebay/yahoo. this picture is the one I have(taken by the seller), my DC is lend out, so I can't post other pics now. Graham Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 As the base color is white it would be a good toy to custom into a VF-19P from Dynamite 7 Graham Quote
zeo-mare Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 good lord there right it does look sort of gundamish...well the sheld definetly does anyhow. Quote
RosarioLuv Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 As the base color is white it would be a good toy to custom into a VF-19P from Dynamite 7Graham Took the words right out of my scheming brain. I SO want a 19P. Gimme gimme gimme! Quote
The6ftTallAZN Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 That thing makes me want to puke, I even think the Fire Valkyrie looks better. Is valhyrie a word? Quote
GreenGuy42 Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 That thing makes me want to puke, I even think the Fire Valkyrie looks better. Is valhyrie a word? Of course. A valhyrie is the retarded, older step-sister of a valkyrie in Norse myth. Unlike their more illustrious sisters, they sheparded those who died in sad and pathetic ways to a "special" place in the Underworld. Quote
areaseven Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 Is it me, or does it have a bit of an Escaflowne look? Quote
Wabbit Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 Is it me, or does it have a bit of an Escaflowne look? Mixed bag. But maybe this booty can be used for custom VF-19's. Quote
Gyges Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Why do bootleggers mangle perfectly good designs? I mean, why do they bother altering a design that they're already ripping off? If you make a valkyrie fugly, do you then myteriously abide by copyright rules? Quote
The6ftTallAZN Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 The Fire Valk is already fugly... what more do you want?? Quote
bigkid24 Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I actually like the white. The rest is weird and I definitely don't like the shield. Quote
Renato Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 As the base color is white it would be a good toy to custom into a VF-19P from Dynamite 7Graham I was just gonna say the same thing. I keep meaning to track down a cheap FireValk to customize into a 19P... Hmm. Quote
