From the studio that gave us This Is the End and The Interview comes an animated film on crack. Sausage Party features an all-star voice cast as food products fighting to survive from being what they are made for. It premieres at the South by Southwest Film Festival this week and hits theaters on August 12.

How can food be afraid of being cut apart and eaten when it already went halfway through that process?

Baby Carrots start off at regular carrots that are cut down to size. They already experienced some of this torture. Why is this new to them?

I want some real world realism in my movies about talking food.

/Film's account of the screening is vastly different from what I was hearing on Twitter last night. They liked this rough version of the movie a lot, and said the audience seemed to enjoy it as well. Supposed to be very funny.

I liked This is the end, but I did not really find the interview funny. I may have had one laugh while watching the interview.

I think that just shows you how broken RT is....they'll score a movie like Sausage party 100% fresh but give Suicide Squad 31%. That's just cruel.

More and more positive reviews coming in, I'm gonna see it this weekend. I don't instantly/irrationally hate Seth Rogen stuff by default, he's hit and miss for me so I'm absolutely willing to give it a go now that the reviews are coming in. Who would have that, it's not as bad as most people though it would be, in fact, it's actually supposed to be pretty good! But you always get the same people on here that JUST KNOW, and they're older and have better taste and just know better. This site always makes me laugh. Suicide Squad was pretty much hot garbage, so I need this.

Seems fitting now, Suicide Squad was pretty damn bad, and now Sausage Party is turning into a pleasant surprise for most critics. Not 100% positive obviously, but apparently pretty damn good.
