Rodavan Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) Had a lighting strike that took out my server and electrical equipment late December 2015 - after the restore , I found an old file where I started a VF-0 so I have restarted this week with front body and Gunpod Edited February 20, 2016 by Rodavan Quote
Mr March Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Looking good so far. I have a little more uncolored line art (in better scans and resolution) featured on my website post-update. Might be a little more helpful than before. Make sure to check it out if you need the reference. Quote

Rodavan Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 I have been constructing the cutting lines , so each panel can then be cut from the solid model - I get asked about NURBS modeling a lot , so here is some detail of how the lines look and then how it is used. Old school Will post the finished "leg" that is filleted next .... Quote
3D-Brainx Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Well hello detail! That looks realy good. What soft are you using? Quote
Rodavan Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Thx 3D-Brianx - CAD Rhino3d , Render - Cinema 4D or Blender (still learning) Quote
grigolosi Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Damn I would hate to have to remove a few of those panels along the front intake in real life. It looks like you would have to take off that entire upper fuselage cover to get to the upper screws. Excellent work though I like the screw details you included. Quote
Rodavan Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 I need some advise I am looking at the front "cut"out , there is not good detail on this - am i going the right way or is this wrong? Quote
Rodavan Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Thanks Zinjo Started modeling again - detailing's is a pain , I added the "foot" and did some work there . Slow going ... Quote
freebug Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Nice work. Put it out in solidworks and 3d print it. Quote
Rodavan Posted November 11, 2016 Author Posted November 11, 2016 Been a while - real life very hectic , but I created solid model from nurbs an d carving out the shape to add fillets and detail later Quote
3D-Brainx Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 That looks amazing. Is it going to transform? Quote
Rodavan Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016 Thx 3D-Brainx , The model should ,but it is a CAD model so when you converted it to poly's it becomes a very big file Small bit of progress again .... Quote
