QEssential Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Notice some holes on the gun of the Yamato 1/60 toys. Just wondering if they were meant for possible gun straps? Did Yamato scrap that idea? Were they ever made? Quote
wmkjr Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) Not by Yamato/Arcadia though there were custom ones sold by a fellow MW member DarrinG though he stopped making them. Info about them: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41214&hl=gunstraps#entry1130868 Edited February 17, 2016 by wmkjr Quote

Wonder why Yamato didn't include them! They've obviously thought about it considering the holes in them. Quote

They've obviously thought about it considering the holes in them. they included them on the 1/48's; they were incredibly fiddly and broke easily. I think it was one of the features that got cut for being more trouble than it's worth like the wing flaps and air brake. Quote
jenius Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 The biggest issue with them is what to do with the strap in fighter mode but I always found a way to tuck them so it wasn't a problem. The rings at the ends are metal so there shouldn't be a problem with them breaking. Some day we'll have a 1/35 version (maybe) with retractable gun strap (doubtful)! Quote
