frankell05 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Hey ya'll This pic was posted on this site, in regards to the monster kit, but I was extremely curious about the little ve-1 next to it. I have never seen this figure before. Is this something that s coming out? or out already? is it a toy or kit? Any info is greatly appreciated! Quote
Big s Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 It looks like a dressed up version of that resin kit from a few years ago, if you look at the upper legs and upper arms they have that weird diamond shape. Quote
Bobby Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Hmmm...that pose it's in really looks like the Toynami Veritech Super Poseable Figure line. However they never made a VE-1 to my knowledge. It might be a one-of-a-kind custom or a possible future release! Here's a link to the first release w/out armor <LINK> and the second release w/armor <LINK> I personally liked wave 1 more and got a couple since their posing was so dynamic (note the similarities in the OP pic)... jenius Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) The Toynami superposeable toys began their lives as Wonderfest models. I'm not sure if Toynami worked out a deal with the sculptor or bought a few models and then engineered them into toys. I would suspect that that VE-1 is by the same Wonderfest person/team that made the original models before Toynami turned them into toys. Edited February 10, 2016 by jenius Quote
Big s Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Most of the toys toynami puts out seem to start out as something someone else already made better like their 1/100 transformable valkyries that were just up scaled banpresto's. They even made the panel lines wider on those in the up scale. Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 That VE-1 is a kitbash made from a Toynami superposable toy and a Hasegawa 1/72 VE-1 model kit. It was made by someone on this board, but I can't remember who. Quote
frankell05 Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 Got it, thanks for the responses . Now at least I know I can't hunt it down. Quote
