Knight26 Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 At that scale I would expect an articulated pilot figure. Quote
Duymon Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 (edited) Considering they already have macross gals at the same scale to this valk they need to make a Ranka Concert ver from the 2nd movie so that people can do this Edited October 16, 2017 by Duymon Quote

From the very beginning we're already seeing Strike Pack on their prototype, so it's just proper that it's going to have a DYRL pilot, right? Quote

no3Ljm Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 For a big scale like that why does it look like it's still lacking details? Quote
jenius Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 A fine balance between a good representation of what we know and making up details to take advantage of the size. Quote
chyll2 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 How can you see the details when the plastic used makes it hard to make it out of. Quote
kajnrig Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Get the primer out, then the details or lack thereof will reveal themselves. As long as it doesn't go the way of current Gundam "details," I'm fine with whatever. Quote

Frankly as long as it has good forms an proportions, small detail can be added by the modeler. Too much incorrect detail would be worse to deal with. Quote
Gabe Q Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I can't put my finger on it, but the proportions seem off a bit. Like there are a few, small but incredibly significant details being overlooked. This is coming from someone that owns multiples of every iteration of vf-1 Valkerie kit in existence. Quote
seti88 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Keep wondering if regular hobby blade and clippers can handle this bad boy! If not careful those extra large nubs become flyting projectiles during nub cleaning, would seriously recommend goggles during build.... Quote
MechTech Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 The details do look minimum. The fan blades look shallow without having real blades, just engraved lines. What's with the heads? They should be separate from the fuselage piece. Not to mention the laser thicknesses? Then again, this is NOT the final kit we are looking at so take what you see with a grain of salt.- MT Quote
electric indigo Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I don't think the parts you see are the fan blades, but the afterburner ends. And IMO this kit is designed with a minimal parts count for the more casual modeler, and to keep it somewhat affordable (we'll see about that...) Quote
Chronocidal Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Impressive, but yeah, the head lasers need replacement badly. They look more like antennas than cannon barrels. Quote

Looks like they aren't going to fix the proportions of the 1S head (lasers too close together) The whole thing looks like the spiritual successor to the 1-/24 scale ARII kit that came out a million years ago, which also lacked a significant amount of detail. True. I will understand if this is done in a smaller scale. But at this massive scale, it's not an excuse why it's not designed or scaled properly. Quote
