GMK Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Whiteness aside, is this up for pre-order anywhere? Quote
seti88 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I thk what is shown is early prototyping..look for more detailed samples as an indication for commitment to production and preorder dates... Quote
sh9000 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 If this were a 1/20 scale toy, I'd buy multiples. Quote
slide Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 If this were a 1/20 scale toy, I'd buy multiples. so take the price of a Arcadia 1/603 and you'd have some idea of what that would cost.... Quote
Knight26 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I'm game if it fits/comes with 1:18 1:20 scale figures. Quote
Big s Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I believe the intent is to work with 1/20 scale plamax figures for display. Quote
spanner Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 has there been any mention of a possible release date for this thing? I guess I could scroll back through the previous pages but I actually have stuff to do at work today believe it or not.. Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Actual release dates don't seem to show up until the product is pretty much ready with PLAMAX. The Pacific Rim kits they first showed prototypes off at the February 2015 Wonder Festival, and then at Summer 2015, then winter 2016, and only at summer 2016 event did we get a release date of December. The current information plaque for the VF-1 says 2017, without even narrowing it down to a season/quarter. So probably 2nd half of 2017 at this rate... Quote
peter Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 hmm... 2 rifles and my PAL fees, or a 1/20th scale VF-1... Decisions... Haha, what two rifles are you hoping to buy for $500? Even a 10/22 is running damn near $350 nowadays Quote
peter Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 (edited) If it's anything like this POS...... Edited July 29, 2016 by peter Quote

I guess it'll be more for the rifles if I figure the taxes... one to keep stock, one to waste a lot more money on customizing it. Who's X-wing is that? looks even more ugly than the ESTES rocket version....... Quote

The X Wing is the Hasbro Hero series.....fixed wing X Wing, lol! Utter crap, haha! Quote

I've written the PAL exam and the restricted, but it'll probably be a couple more pay-cycles before I have the cash on-hand to send it in. ........ I had never Heard of CGN, thanks for the heads-up! VF-1A Grunt Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 They're really trying to get a lot of mileage out of this pre-production model! Quote
505thAirborne Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Love the size, now we need to see some serious details!! For something this large you should be able to open & close the canopy as well the landing gear. Quote
MechTech Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I'm a smaller scale guy, but I'm considering this. It's iconic and would look cool well detailed. - MT Quote
slide Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) I'm a smaller scale guy, but I'm considering this. It's iconic and would look cool well detailed. - MT I think I'll paint a Giant UN Spacey kite on the wall, like 4' diameter or so, and mount this in the center... and I'll put my smaller-scale collection in display cabinets around it now the questions become: 1-Do I buy more than one? and 2-How do I want to paint it/them? .........this is one of the best first-world problems ever!! seti88 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Hmm a spring loaded 1/20th gunpod mod would be nice! Quote

electric indigo Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 The kit's nose looks a bit long, doesn't it? Quote
jenius Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 At that size and distance perspective is very hard to judge. Quote
Duymon Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Half of me is really exited about this but the other half of me worries about the price lol Quote

Big s Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I'm not worried at all about the price, it's the amount of space that gets me. Quote
ayaxr Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 That canopy/cockpit looks like its shrunk down to like 70% of what its size should be relative to the plane..... :/ Quote
derex3592 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Maybe I'll hang it from the ceiling in my office at work.... Quote
Major Tom Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 This looks OK from different angle: http://figsoku.net/blog-entry-37650.html Quote
MechTech Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) The canopy does look a bit shallow. But hey, the guy in the green shirt gives it thumbs up! Hopefully there's a lot of panel lines to go with all that acreage! Touch n Shoot. I'm hoping it means touch the model and take photos with it. Sometimes cross cultural issues happen, like having to change the name of Pepsi in some countries because "has worms in it" doesn't sell very well in most countries.- MT Edited January 15, 2017 by MechTech Quote
