TMBounty_Hunter
So I decided to try out the GSC store for their 2,000 yen flat rate EMS shipping, the only problem is I can't find this thing on their english site https://goodsmileshop.com/ja/p/MAX_PLA_JP_00056 The japanese site works, but it doesn't seem to be listed on the english one. no3Ljm
And preorder is on! 17% off at AmiAmi. Y32980. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-4556 Edited April 24, 2018 by no3Ljm
TMBounty_Hunter
hrm, actually, is this a licensing issue? OG Macross not allowed on the english store? And looking at the math GSC store => 39800 + 2000EMS = 41800 Amiami difference from that is 8820, which would probably cover the EMS shipping anyway? no3Ljm
Can’t imagine the cost for EMS shipping. Could be the same cost as a Perfect Grade kit?

Anyway, in case anyone's wondering, HLJ and GSC list a MSRP of 36,852 JPY. Amiami's MSRP is 39,800, which is the MSRP + local sales tax (8%). derex3592
I wouldn't know how to even attempt to paint this with a normal airbrush, I think you're more into the territory of like professional grade spray equipment for something this big. kajnrig
^ Okay, so I might be wrong about this, but just hear me out. I think you might need bigger paint cups for those. More seriously, though, someone mentioned rattle cans earlier, and I wonder if this kit might actually justify the crazy amount of paint those things shoot out. I know car modelers who use rattlecans, and I envy their results... if they can get that showroom shine out of a rattlecan there IS a way! I just don't know what it is... For weathering and smaller details, you can use the normal airbrush. On scales such as this that spray cans make economic sense (unless of course you already have some pro airbrush appropriate for bigger scales).
