Jefuemon Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 OK, after only 9 months or so (I am NEVER doing another group build!!) I'm finally finished with all the kits from the Yellow Submarine "Macross Digital Mission VF-X" line (at least the fighters). All are resin cast, and 1/144 scale. Shawn Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Wow-never seen them built before, except in the original promo ads. Fantastic job!! Quote
007-vf1 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 All that work gone into them. Fantastic.. Quote
Jefuemon Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 Wow-never seen them built before, except in the original promo ads. Fantastic job!! Took me 4~5 years to get all the kits together. Had to do them all in one shot. Quote
dbh1973 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Those are gorgeous! What are you using as the stands? Quote
Jefuemon Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 Those are gorgeous! What are you using as the stands? The bases come with the kits. There's also a Milky Doll figure with each kit, too (see the For Sale section). Quote
MechTech Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Congrats Jefuemon! They came out great and look really good together. Hopefully you have a shelf reserved for them some place. - MT Quote
Jefuemon Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 50 re-tweets and counting. A personal best for me. Quote
Jefuemon Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 Nice! The build, or the fact that I seem to be constantly re-tweeted with these? As Shawn stated, it just seems like there are not many of these built floating around out there, and maybe none of them all together. Be fun to be proved wrong about that, though. Curious to see what others have done. Quote
EXO Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Both! Macrosstweet retrweeted you of course but the builds are great. I think you and 007-VF1 are both getting me into 1/144 modelling... lol. I think that's about as small as I can go, but some of Mechtech's and Neptune's 1/350's stuff are pretty cool. I guess the only scale preference I have should be considered "ALL"! Quote
Jefuemon Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 My main "go to" scale is 1/72, but these were too fun to pass up on. Actually, this is the second time I've built the VF-4. The first time was about 15 years ago, and it was the first resin kit I ever built. Gave it to a friend before I moved to Japan. I'd like to think I did a much better job this time around! Quote
chyll2 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 thanks for sharing. Must be satisfying to see them all together. Quote
