QEssential
Hi my Macross brothers, I have a Yamato Strike and Super Hikaru with cracked shoulder joint. How can I fix it? Any ideas? Or can I still get replacement parts? Or is my valk now worthless?
Garfinkel
Vf5ss sells 3d printed replacements through shapeways, I believe there is a link in his signature. He has a guide to fitting then on youtube. Jenius also has a guide on anymoon.com Your valk is not dead!

QEssential
http://www.shapeways.com/product/DV3KRQCTN/kanzen-henkei-1-60-scale-fighter-variable-hinge Thank you! You are a life saver! BTW, the youtube video on that page does work.... any idea? Also does the plastic used match up with a Yamato ver.2 valk? Which one should I pick? VF5SS
They whites don't quite match the figure, but shapeways plastic can be painted. I'm not sure why the video doesn't work. It seems like a youtube problem.

VF5SS
I don't have any at the moment, but there was a large thread all about the shoulder parts. Perhaps someone could help me find it and link it here.
wmkjr
http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36316&page=8 That's page 8 with examples of different colors and a youtube video of how to replace the shoulders but it's not working for some reason. There's also a link to Anymoon's guide of replacing the shoulders. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36316&page=1 Start of thread Edited November 1, 2015 by wmkjr
aceoftherebellion
The color won't match, but my suggestions is just get two, and replace both shoulders. That way they'll at least match each other, you'll have symmetry, and you'll have the peace of mind that both shoulders will now be secure without risk of further breakage. I've also heard tales of shapeways plastic being dyed with fabric dye, so you could alternatively make the shoulders a dark grey and pass it off as just being like, 'mechanical detail!' like the VF-0's shoulders. CoreyD
Watch out, grey is a notoriously tricky color to dye. The results can end up more purple than grey.
