MisaForever Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Hey all. So I got to thinking about this today and wondered what other people might think. I realize that there was a Vocaloid created that was voiced by Megumi Nakajima and resembled Ranka and love that someone came up with her. However, since the heart of Macross is music (singing specifically), wouldn't it behoove the owners to somehow mix Macross and something like Vocaloid officially? I mean seriously, it seems like the perfect idea. Virtual idols who sing their own music and can dance on stage seems like something you'd expect Big West to come up with! We have the technology so why aren't we seeing real virtual idols related to Macross?? Penny for your thoughts. Quote
wmkjr Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) Just like the 3D Ranka/Sheryl Holo thing? Because they would mesmerize and hypnotize me and take over the world. Plus I'd rather see real people in concert. Besides that you would have to tie them in somehow to one of the series. Edited October 31, 2015 by wmkjr Quote
Cdr Fokker Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 We have the technology so why aren't we seeing real virtual idols related to Macross?? Well, Macross doesn't exactly have a happy history with virtual idols. They tend to take over experimental autonomous attack drones. Quote

Oh, pshaw... Plenty of celebrities want to use their status to help change the world. Sharon was just more proactive than most. Quote
