no3Ljm Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 So, all of these AmiAmi preorders reopening...is this a sign of cancelled orders? AFAIK, cancelling on AmiAmi is prohibited. They don't allow it. Back to VF-31 programming. I like the Supers overall but somehow looks funny. Esp on the Gerwalk mode. Probably, it wasn't attached properly on the displays. Hope that's the only case there. Quote
SuperHobo Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Look at all of these Hayate haters in this thread. His armor will most likely be a webshop exclusive and there won't be any preorder madness so I'm happy to pick one up. Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Just reposting it for the next page. http://pointnet.news/news/toy/29665/TAMASHIINATION2016%E7%A7%8B%E8%91%89/ This thing want to say hello! Quote
Sandman Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Where is the speaker projection pack? Don't tell me they are going to release that separately. Quote
chyll2 Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Noel, supers are actually funny for the 31 in general. That is my opinion. It looks the best though for battroid mode. Since it is a lead valk, will it be a good idea to hoard? This variant will have a chance on getting reissue. Quote
Lolicon Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 To be fair, all the characters in Delta sucked. Except for the sea cat with the wicked scar on his chest. He was awesome. Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Where is the speaker projection pack? Don't tell me they are going to release that separately. It's Bandai. You can bet on it. Mommar Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 To be fair, all the characters in Delta sucked. Except for the sea cat with the wicked scar on his chest. He was awesome. I disagree, all of the charactes were fine. The writers didn't utilize them properly. Quote

ayaxr Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 When the VF-25 first came out, were the super packs teased so early even before release to the public of the VF-25 itself? I missed out on the preorders for the J so maybe I might be getting the super packs before the actual valk..haha.. depending on when this is released. These super packs look different enough to add variety, but I agree it is an acquired taste.. I like them, but I can see how others might not. Quote
Mommar Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I'm pretty sure there's some sort of plastic insert that will be required to keep those wings propped up with the boosters on in Gerwalk. There's no way in hell the 30 could handle that kind of weight and I doubt they've built in something so sturdy the 31 will be able to. Quote
valhary Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I miss the days when the valks bring their respective fastpack, superparts or strikeparts the last I can remember was the vf 19 advance lately bandai looks become more greedy Quote
Boobytrap Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I know it's not Bandai's fault, but man I still can't get over how ugly those boosters look. Off the top of my head I can't think of any other valk that has them so poorly and unimaginatively integrated. Kawamori really phoned it in on that design. The completest in me may still get a set but I can't see me ever displaying them attached in fighter or gerwalk mode. Quote
Sandman Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I like the boosters ( they kinda look like the 11's boosters). It's the way they sit on top of the wing that makes them look odd. I don't mind bandai selling the parts separately but I wish they weren't exclusives. It makes it so hard to get them if after they have sold out. Really suck for new ppl getting into the hobby and weren't around for the preorder. Bandai would make so much money if the sold ozma's armoured pack again. Quote

The only weird part about this Super Parts thing is that why they didn't include the extra pods? The speaker pod? Edited October 27, 2016 by no3Ljm Quote

The only weird part about this Super Parts thing is that why they didn't include the extra pods? The speaker pod? That's one solution. Although it kind of takes the 'super' out of the super packs. Of course if I left those off my eyes would be drawn to the missile pods, which I think were another miss. They are even more bulky/thick than those on the VF-25 and look like a life preserver in battroid. If I didn't know any better and was just judging on appearance I would say that the VF-31 (with super packs) was a precursor to the VF-25 (with super packs) rather than its successor. I like the leg armors though Quote
trojan_gambit Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I like the boosters ( they kinda look like the 11's boosters). It's the way they sit on top of the wing that makes them look odd. I was thinking the same. While Frontier super packs's boosters are blended with the wings, Delta puts them on top of the wing. But then I think it's to allow the outer wing to fold down during transformation. Quote
chyll2 Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 There are also panel in the wings that is part of the Arm that will be affected if the booster is blended/sandwiched in the wing. Yeah, bandai cant fix it since Kawamori designed it that way. Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I know in the anime, the wing boosters are attached or placed on the folded fins. But on the figure, based on the photos, it looks like it's being clipped around the main wing, somewhere in the middle of the folding hinge. Quote

It does it look like the wing vertical rudders ended up folded underneath but behind the fast packs somehow (in battroid mode)? The vertical wing rudders should be visible folded onto the wing surface, no? Hard to see from these angles, perhaps a top down shot would be better.. Quote
snakerbot Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 It does it look like the wing vertical rudders ended up folded underneath but behind the fast packs somehow (in battroid mode)? The vertical wing rudders should be visible folded onto the wing surface, no? Hard to see from these angles, perhaps a top down shot would be better.. It looks to me like the rudders fold inward 90 degrees until they are parallel to the wings, then the boosters are just stuck on top or clipped around the whole wing assembly or something. You can see the tips of the rudders inboard of the boosters in the fighter mode picture. Quote
Mommar Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 The rudders fold parallel to the wings but do not touch the wing surface. That's consistent with the animation as well. It leaves the bottom portion of the rudder to act like a pylon for the boosters. Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Not sure how they're going to accomplish this: Quote
seti88 Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Exactly, I still don't see that folded rudder in the DX pics posted. Oh well, perhaps its still a sample fast pack...lol.. Quote
Lolicon Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 That's a huge gap in the animation. The model kit folds much more closely and I expect the DX to have a similar design. Quote
seti88 Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Not going to split hairs on the height of the fold but its good to see the model pics as comparison. Gonna put down to camera angle's in the DX case.. Quote
trojan_gambit Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) The model kit 'cheat' by replacing the rudder's base with a bracket. Interesting to see how the DX will implement this If the they want to retain the perfect transformation. A heavy booster standing on a peg or two ? no3Ljm Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Yup. It's another case of 'afterthoughts'. Quote
Lolicon Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 The model kits have always required more cheats than their DX counterparts due to their fragility and smaller scale. Quote
Chronocidal Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Heh.. maybe that bracket will actually stay on the wing. I know it's easy enough to just glue the parts together, but after building the Sv-262, it feels a lot sturdier than the VF-31 kit. Quote
IXTL Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 (edited) A few more photos from Tamashii Nations 2016. A pity this was all the DX Chogokin they had on display. http://ameblo.jp/digitamin/entry-12213936163.html Edited October 30, 2016 by IXTL Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the new updates, IXTL. But yeah, from the looks of it in Fighter/Gerwalk mode, the booster is clipped on to the wing. And look how slim the knees are. Edited October 30, 2016 by no3Ljm Quote

Scyla Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I'm not a fan of how the missile war heads look. The VF-25 Renewal Armor Parts did it best in my opinion. Quote
