I think the overall weight of a single DX VF-31 including the shipping box weighs more than 2kg now. That's what happened with Nippon-Yasan when they asked for extra on my EMS, the shipping cost ended up Y5200.

Cannot wait for Arad's one! The mixing of black and blue really does it for me, and I don't mind the forward swept wings because of it. Arad's scheme does something similar and the battroid head is pretty sweet too. 

Wish Bandai would pop a new SV-262 for preorder to compliment the hero valks.

So the fun question I have... how do those missiles compare size-wise to the other reaction missiles we've seen recently?  I know they can't be as big as the monstrosities included with the 171 packs, and they look bigger than the ones included with the VF-25 armor packs.  Are they roughly the size of the Arcadia missiles included with the YF-19 or Strike VF-1s?

Starting to warm up on the colour scheme on Arad's valk as it looked quite funky when I first saw it. As for the add-ons, the GBP and Fast pack (with reaction missiles) would be a given choice, will the sound booster/holograpghic projector also be in consideration (possibly not)?

I dunno, I find that with the super parts, it almost takes away from the unique color scheme of the Kai. 

I mean I love super parts in general but imo, with so much of the bird covered up with the parts its a much subtle difference from the regular 31J and 31J Kai.

Same, my main point of frustration with NY is the lack of consistency of when they get their orders out, as it can be in preparation between a day to a week being the longest I have experienced.

but the reality is that this is nothing new.. I have experienced this with them for as long as I can remember. The only thing though is it has gotten a bit worse in recent times..

Each time it gets restocked at NY gets higher and higher. Got notifications and was humming and hawing at 35k yen.... Now i guess it'll be up to luck if I find it on my trip to Japan next year.

finally recieved my charge 2 at FromJapan  , 7461 yen,  + 27000 valk = 34461 yen total  (around $303)  

now have to wait if I'll get the 5% FJ points from their promo which should be 1350 points.  I wonder do these FJ Points expires?

Looks like the Vf-31J Kai is beyond reachable expectations and now becoming another "Holy Grail" of valks to aquire..  For that amount, I would rather get a G1 Grand Maximus, Victory Leo or Desaurus!

I think the term holy grail are for valks that are rarely seen available to buy, not just at high prices.

That would cover most valkyries these days. 

I'd say really hard to find, lots of collectors want it, and commands a high price as a result of the first two criteria. And of course there's a subjective factor too. 

Pretty vague, I must say. 

The Kai is currently not too hard to find, but it only came out just over a week ago. 

I'd consider the Yamato Super Ostrich a holy grail for many. Max & Miria and the VF-4 were too, until Arcadia reissued them. 

The Kai certainly is looking like it might be grail item a year from now. But let's see how many more come out with the lottery sales. I'd like a second one.

With the debut of macross delta movie next year, the VF-31J kai will be a highly sought after item. If bandai has any business sense, they would release as a limited tamashi exclusive item that is up for preorders

Nothing new. Not only NY is slow but their packaging has gotten tardy. My shop to go for regular bandai or arcadia releases would be amiami except for premium finish or tamashi exclusive items which i have to rely on NY

 I just got mine in via From Japan.  It was 27000 for the kai and another 7070 (i cluded are their domestic mailing fees, insurance, etc.) for EMS. 

I admit its been awhile since I've received a package wrapped like this! Air cushion mat, heatshrink plastic and secured to another board. I paid just a little less for ems shipping for my pg exia I got from hlj, but all that was is just the kit's box in a shipping box with some air cushions, lol.
