klavs81 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) Hi guys, I thought it would share my take on the classic VF-1 and VF-1D with you guys. I am a big fan of these mechs, though the model isn't completely transformable. There are a few modifications here and there, but I hope you like them! Edited October 11, 2015 by klavs81 Quote
Mr March Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Very nice work! How many polygons are some of these? What did you build them with? Quote
spanner Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 fantastic work mate! These look awesome! How long did it take you to make them!? Quote
DWN013 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Fantastic job, i like how you placed the tailhook pretty close to where i always thought it should go: centerline extending from the backpack. Quote
Duymon Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 omg I wish we could have these in MS flight sim :0 Quote
klavs81 Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Thanks guys, they work out to be around 90,000 poys each, I made them in Modo. Each model has one 8192px x 8192 texture map, with bump, specular, etc. I've been working on them on and off for about half a year, I'd say about 60 hours work total. Once I get a few more liveries tucked away under my belt I'll probably release them, if anybody's interested. Cheers Quote

I noticed its not variant specific, was that intentional? It could be a A or S.. omg I wish we could have these in MS flight sim :0 I don't think there are any decent Valkyrie for FSX or any flight sim for that matter.. Quote
