treatment Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I saw that posted at TD earlier, but I wasn't quite sure how to post it here since it's just a some statuette. As such, it's kinda funny how the torso on this is much nicer and non-elongated than the one they use in the HM-R... Quote
jenius Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Wouldn't it make sense that something that doesn't transform would have better proportions in the one mode it's in? Not sure what would make that funny? I'm assuming it's plastic coated to look metal at the given price? Do we know what it says? Quote
treatment Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Wouldn't it make sense that something that doesn't transform would have better proportions in the one mode it's in? Not sure what would make that funny? It's funny coz this statuette's torso is much closer to the 1/60 Yammies/Arcadia that actually transforms than to Bandai's own HM-R line... I'm assuming it's plastic coated to look metal at the given price? Do we know what it says? Seems to be diecast per http://tamashii.jp/special/katamari/ Quote
jenius Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Sure, but this statue has the head in the right place so it's pick your poison. How do I get one of these? I can think of lots of reasons why I need a small metal battroid. Quote
treatment Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) The 1J seems to be limited to the Tamashi Nation 2015 event ticket purchasers. http://tamashii.jp/special/tamashii_nation/ However, expect N-Y and Jungle to gobble some up for regular gaijin-scalping... Edited September 24, 2015 by treatment Quote
no3Ljm Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 It looks like it's an exclusive to the Tamashii event. And it's been offered to people who purchase the advanced ticket to the event show. And based on the web page most figures stands below 10cm and it's all diecast metal. Not bad for Y1200. Quote
treatment Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Yup. The 1J is event-exclusive. and Ami's only offering the 24pk set of the Go Nagai and Doraemon characters: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-013815 http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-013823 Like I said, expect N-Y or Jungle to scalp offer the 1J variant after the show. anime52k8 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 This is like Bandai just giving the middle finger to all the people who complained about the lack of diecast content in there other macross figures. "oh, you don't think there's enough metal in our Hi-Metal figures? Well then here's a toy that's ENTIRELY MADE OF METAL." Quote
