Myersjessee Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Man...I need this...I can cover the last $400...someone in the holiday spirit?!? Ebay Auction Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Meh, it wouldn't really be cool, unless you could sit in the cockpit etc. Imagine having one big enough in your front yard, you could sit in the cockpit, and rotate the turret at small children, the mailman, and other passers by!. Quote
yellowlightman Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 That's crazy, but I dunno what you'd do with it. Seems likes after the "shock" factor of having a bigass AT-ST in your living room, it might wear off. I'd rather have that giant wooden mech from Battletech that guy built for his kids. Quote
EXO Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 meh.... for that much I'd want it MIB... I mean look at the big huge scratch right on the front. I want my SW blister package for that baby... Quote
JsARCLIGHT Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Any time the shipping alone on an item is $1,200 you really have to ask yourself if it is worth it... In this case FALK no. That thing better make coffee, do my taxes, play Teddy Ruxpin tapes and incinerate garbage for that price. Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 That thing better make coffee, do my taxes, play Teddy Ruxpin tapes and incinerate garbage for that price. LOL, Teddy Ruxpin. Not to get off topic, but did anyone ever wonder what would happen if you put a Death Metal band tape in a Teddy Ruxpin doll?. Quote
pfunk Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 now that would give you definate geek points Quote
Abombz!! Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 For that price... it better talk, clean the house and cook! Quote
Blaine23 Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 That thing better make coffee, do my taxes, play Teddy Ruxpin tapes and incinerate garbage for that price. LOL, Teddy Ruxpin. Not to get off topic, but did anyone ever wonder what would happen if you put a Death Metal band tape in a Teddy Ruxpin doll?. We did. Well not, death metal, per se - but we put some Led Zeppelin cassettes in my friend's little sister's Ruxpin as a lad. Very funny at first. Then basically like listening to a bad cassette player disguised as a creepy teddy bear. We were just so sure that he would begin rocking out like he had a guitar... we were wrong. As for the giant AT-ST... I do believe that transcends even my dorkiness. Now if some could clone Natalie Portman, I'll cough up 18k in a heartbeat. Quote
Myersjessee Posted January 2, 2004 Author Posted January 2, 2004 Blaine, have you tried realdoll.com with your request!?!?! Man...why all the AT AT hate here...comeon...someone has $19,000 and nothing better to spend it on!!! (It would look soooo cool in my project room! ) Quote
Nightbat Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 1:2 scale? how big is a 1:1? my guess would be approx 10m Quote
Blaine23 Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Blaine, have you tried realdoll.com with your request!?!?! Well... just from looking at it... I'd say the "inputs" did not seem the right fit for a cassette tape. Maybe 8 track. Quote
Druna Skass Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Man...I need this...I can cover the last $400...someone in the holiday spirit?!? Ebay Auction I'll lend you the money if you could get someone to buy me that aircraft carrier up for auction there. Quote

Isamu Atreides 86 Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Now if some could clone Natalie Portman, I'll cough up 18k in a heartbeat. that would be memorabilia worth having!! i'd even go 10x that!! Quote

Anubis Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Man...I need this...I can cover the last $400...someone in the holiday spirit?!?   Ebay Auction I'll lend you the money if you could get someone to buy me that aircraft carrier up for auction there. I remember the aircraft carrier! It was in Brazil or somewhere in South America IIRC, an old British carrier. Forgot how many millions for it. Quote
GreenGuy42 Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 You guys ever the the old Russian submarine? I believe it was used in the not so hit movie K19. That sucker sat in a St. Pete harbor for ages. When I interned at USF, I ALMOST got my hands on its battle flag... <_< Quote
bsu legato Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 I'll wait for the 1:1 scale version. Seriously though, I love movie props and all, but there's no way I'd spend that kind of coin on a static showpiece like that. 18G will buy you all the Stormtrooper/Boba Fett/Colonial Marine costumes you want and leave you change leftover. Heck, $18,000 would make a good sized dent in an MFP Interceptor replica, and you can really drive it to boot. Quote
Commander McBride Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Man...I need this...I can cover the last $400...someone in the holiday spirit?!?   Ebay Auction I'll lend you the money if you could get someone to buy me that aircraft carrier up for auction there. JB0 Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Can someone lend me 18600 too? I'm sure I can FIND something to spend it on. Quote
robokochan Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Sure Jesse No problem...where did I put that stash (Looks in Monopoly Box to get Jesse the Money ) Rob MN Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Honestly. Even if I had that much money to spend I'd rather use it for something else (like a 1:2 scale SDF-1). Quote
Anubis Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Only if I could drive it down the street and eliminate some traffic problems. Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 i'd rather just buy this 2001 camero ss i've been eye-balling it costs the same too! Quote
Agent ONE Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 lame, it doesn't even come with a door knob. Quote
Gaijin Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 $19,000 for a model? Dude, buy a car. Put down a down payment on a house. Travel around the world. That's just crazy. Quote
yellowlightman Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 $19,000 for a model?Dude, buy a car. Put down a down payment on a house. Travel around the world. That's just crazy. Yeah, but you can't brag about a down payment on a house on a message board. So whats the point? Quote
Jolly Rogers Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Why spend that kind of money when a couple of Ewoks and a Wookie can just take it by force? Quote
Myersjessee Posted January 4, 2004 Author Posted January 4, 2004 It's almost like someone heard Blaines request...now you just need the body! Auction Link Quote

Mr.Sci-Fi Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Well I would say that walker should sell for around 6k to 8k, 19k is way to much. This would be more fun to have. Quote
