Are you talking about the pre-crash SDF-1?

so I need to wait for another two years for the Armored Messiah? :p

And Hasegawa red tag on the TV SDF-1 means it will be a limited kit.

The best thing about this, is that now we can be absolutely sure that Hase will produce a Movie SDF-1 in attack mode, and, if the TV Cruiser sells well, we'll have a TV SDF-1 in attack mode!!

Very, very cool! This is a kit I've been wanting to see for quite a long time. I just ordered two of em.

Weird that they made it a limited edition, though. This is one kit I want to see available for years!

Wait, what? How can we be sure about the attacker mode?

After all, they've only given us battroids of the VF-1, despite all the fighters they've done.

Did I miss something?

I'll be picking this one up. Passed on the DYRL version, mainly because I had just finished Yellow Submarine's version right when it came out. And I'll probably be getting the Super Messiah.

I know I'm not building kits anymore but this one made me order the previous SDF as well. Looking forward to it. ;)

I was checking the size for the movie version and this tv version. And it looks like the TV version will be longer by 5.3mm. Hoping also that they will do the attack modes for both in the future as well.

Two words: Wooo Hooo! Isn't this the first styrene TV kit in 30 years or so!? Definitely got to get one! I'm glad it's got all the other extras the movie version has too! - MT

Well, it's just my impression. I just say it because Attack Mode is more popular than the Cruiser Mode... So, if the Cruiser sales goes well, I think attack mode is the next logical move to Hasegawa. Also, I still remember all those policaps included (and not used) in the DYRL SDF-1.

Anyway, if I'm wrong, we can just do some conversion to these cruiser kits to become in attack mode!

That's why Imma preorder 2...

Anyway, did a little digging and here's the word from Hasegawa's webiste (per Google translate):

Dat commentary...

"Destroyed Monster". Or as the HLJ page puts it, "Destroyed version of the Monster."

Anyway, I've pre-ordered mine as well. I should get the DYRL version too at some point, it looks awesome, and having them side by side would be really neat.

I thought the Hasegawa DYRL SDF-1 transformed? have I been misled? D:

The Hasegawa kits are just that: Model kits. They do not transform, they're for static display only. I know some people have managed to make transformable VFs from the Hasegawa kits, but that basically requires at least two kits (one battroid and one fighter kit) and a ton of scratchbuilding. Also, unlike some of the VF kits where you could use for example the head (I think) from a battroid kit to make a different fighter version, I'm not sure the parts breakdown of the cruiser mode kits support swapping parts with an eventual Storm Attacker kit other than maybe the arms, and possibly not even them.
