NZEOD Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 Sorry its been so slow. Still renovating the house, building an MTB/Trials track in the huge backyard, racing MotoX, Kite surfing and work! Pretty busy summer so far! Quote
NZEOD Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 Carrier Deck time... So... these are the resin lenses for the Neopixels in the deck. This is the daisy chain underneath... Next up is the JBD... Down position And raised... And from underneath... Ramp Micro servo Servo controller, translates my on/off inputs into ramp raising with the ability to set the start and end movement ranges and the speed of movement (the most important part to have it SLOWLY raise up realistically). NZEOD Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Building the Beam Cannons on a Strike pack last night, fitting up an LED into the targetter above the barrels and thought... why doesnt the VF-1 have twin cannons on both sides? Now it does! As well as 6 Reaction Warheads. You can never have too much overwhelming firepower. Edited December 11, 2015 by NZEOD Quote
NZEOD Posted December 12, 2015 Author Posted December 12, 2015 Can anyone advise on the Purpose or Role of the Strike Pack Beam Cannons? Anti Fighter, Anti Capital Ship? Guessing reaction Missles are for Capital ships, Micro missiles in the Super Packs are for Fighter screens? Quote
aaajin Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 wow, great stuff. keep it up man! cant wait to see it finished! Quote
NZEOD Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 I get crap from the boys for having the prettiest gear in the sandbox, everyone else just blasts their kit with krylon and any branches and palm fronts on hand. Its gotten me into some fun places though, doing door art on armoured vehicles, gear and even some Sea King choppers. We carry stencils for our units bomb teams and when we pull up behind another unit, even other countries, we race out and tag their gear! Its the silent war civvies dont know about and must confuse the crap out of scale model makers when the see bumpers full of different logos! Quote
NZEOD Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 The worst I've seen were 3 ASLAVs that got hit in the middle of the night while parked up in East Timor, by an Aussie Engineer Regt team whos logo is a dogs paw. They were found in the morning with a ton of red paw prints all over them like a dog had walked up one end, over the tank, down the other side and off over the next one and then the last one. Turrets, Sights... everything in their path got hit with the paw print. Quote
