Lonely Soldier Boy Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Hmmm. Upon closer inspection of those CADs, it does seem to be made less for posing and more for PT. It even has those folding hinges at the wrists and the angled swiveling joints under the torso to transform the legs. Those aren't even in the line art and don't allow for waist articulation (in case Arcadia were going for a smaller affordable and fun Slave Maneuver Mode-only toy a la GN-U Dou line, which didn't do well, because they weren't that cheap to begin with and didn't transform, in which case we'll have to wonder why Arcadia would go that route again). Now if DOES transforms, that would explain why they went for die cast, at least on some critical parts. Quote
glane21 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Seems they are mixing the design up a bit too as It has the part II Proto-Garland body with standard Part I Garland head. Quote
seti88 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) Just noticed there is another fewture ex gokin garland also in planning? Whats the diff between the two? How r we to know which to eye for? Edited December 6, 2015 by seti88 Quote
Sandman Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 The arcadia one will be over 30000 yen. Quote
Loop Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Honestly all we can do is wait for more product information from both manufacturers. Maybe one will be miles ahead of the other.. Only time will tell. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 is there a projected release date for this? i wonder if they will have a prototype resin shown sometime during winter WF Quote
no3Ljm Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Just noticed there is another fewture ex gokin garland also in planning? Whats the diff between the two? How r we to know which to eye for? The Fewture one probably will be more glossy and have more diecast in it. And it's more stylized based on the photo of their sample. Whereas Arcadia will still have that original look but smaller this time since the original release that Yamato made is 1/15 and this time it's just going to be 1/24. But I have a feeling that they will improve it and make it sturdy since it's just going to be small. is there a projected release date for this? i wonder if they will have a prototype resin shown sometime during winter WF As of now, it's TBD/A. And yeah, I'm looking forward for a prototype as well. Quote
seti88 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Look out for it at wonderfest this weekend.... Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Thanks for the pic!!! Now where is the preorder button??? Quote
seti88 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) wait is that a battle damaged version? how much is this... heh ..getting old that poster is showing transparent bits... Edited July 25, 2016 by seti88 Quote
Graham Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Hopefully it will lack the auto-destruct gimmick of the Yamato version. Quote
no3Ljm Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Hmmm. Diecast. I wonder how much this one will cost? Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Wil await reviews first. It might break easily. Being smaller = more fragile. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) I like the sculpt overall. It amazes me it has hinged fingers! How tall is Slave Maneuver mode supposed to be again? Edited September 16, 2016 by Lonely Soldier Boy Quote
wm cheng Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I hope this is a little more affordable than that Future one was... (not holding my breath, it is Arcadia, do it will be pricey) Quote
Phobos Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Gonna have to wait for the reviews on this one... I don't want to get my hopes up, but it looks great! Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) I just hope it's fun to play with and sturdy enough. I'm tired of High-end crumbling collectibles. I'm all about "user friendly" toys now. It seems to be "magnets free" this time and held together by pegs which gives me oh, so much joy! Freeing's E-X Garland also looks like a fun little toy, BTW. Lonely Soldier Boy Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Fewture's Garland (which was slated for release at the end of last month), was pushed back to April. I wonder what it means. Anyway I cancelled my preorder. I like the redesign, but I couldn't justify the price: http://hlj.com/product/FEW96571 Quote
jenius Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 (edited) I was hoping it'd be released and then put on black Friday sale. Edited November 2, 2016 by jenius Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 You know, now I have the feeling it'll end up in the discount bin soon after release, if it gets released at all. Quote
Loop Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 I may just hold on to my pre-order for now, the revisit it again in April. I would some more information on the Arcadia version though. Quote
Hikuro Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Dear god 400 bucks? They can bite my shiny metal ass thank you. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Wow! I didn't noticed the markup. It was under 350 when I preordered it and even then it seemed too much. I could pass up some of the flaws, like the Shogo figure being subpar for today standards, or the torso sitting way too high (plus all the small design issues a toy this complex is bound to have), but not at 350 bucks. Quote
no3Ljm Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 It's not a markup actually. Ever since the PO opened the price at HLJ is Y37810. The original price announced was Y39800. Here's the original discussion from the Fewture Garland thread: Some official pictures and a 39,800 yen price tag. http://hobby.dengeki.com/news/173450/ Quote
gunbuster76 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 ooooooh. Â part two shogo in the hoodie. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
barurutor Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I don't know what anime this is from but those lego carriers intrigued me more than the garland itself. Carry on. Quote
seti88 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Front view of the carriers. For a moment i tot it was an arcadia tie-up with lego, but i suspect its just a custom lego since its Wonderfest! Quote
