seti88 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Several new photos...early test fitting. http://ameblo.jp/arcadiaac/entry-12156885577.html EDIT: seti88's too fast for me. LOL. bringing it to new page hmmm since you didnt add the pic to your post, my reply doesnt include the pic... here it is... If you dont want models to look fat, ask them to pose sideways... barurutor Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 those are some huge shoulder pads & bell-bottom pants. Quote
SuperHobo Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Ah the sideways pose always reduces like 10 pounds. Shoulder pads need to be a wee bit smaller, but all armored up this will be a beast on the shelf. Quote
Mommar Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Oh, so that's how the shoulders attach. Right on the back of the backpack. Not a bad way to do it, I hope. Quote

I blame the lineart for the bulkiness of the Reactive Armor on the VF-0S. Every time I look at it over at M³ I think the Phoenix looks fat. Quote

Mommar Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Must.not.entertain.idea.of.0a.with.reactive.armor. Hey Man, apparently there are 0A's laying around in Japan right now. Come release of the armor you might be able to nab one really cheap. Quote
valhary Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 the shoulder connector is unsightly I almost for sure limited the arm articulation sadly there seems to be much unconformity I would like the same level of criticism that have the vf 2ss Quote

If you dont want models to look fat, ask them to pose sideways... Still loving it. Right now I don't care how big or fat it is. I just want to see this one on my VF-0S... pronto! Quote
Garfinkel Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 That thing is going to dominate my zero shelf. Can't decide if it will go on my 0A or 0S. I like Roy's colour scheme too much to cover it up. Quote
Mr Bomber Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 i was hesitant in getting the reactive armor, but it looks real cool, gonna get it for my 0A Quote
spanner Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 those are some huge shoulder pads & bell-bottom pants. looks cool but im still thinking some parts are a wee bit over sized.. either way im still gonna buy it! Quote
no3Ljm Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 the shoulder connector is unsightly I almost for sure limited the arm articulation sadly there seems to be much unconformity I would like the same level of criticism that have the vf 2ss Looks like it will still have arm articulation even though it has a big shoulder missile launcher pods. I just noticed, by basing it on the photo it looks like it's just resting on the shoulder as a support. I guess, that's the reason why it's connected to the backpack instead of mounting it to the shoulder just like the VF-1's GBP. Quote
sh9000 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Looks like 2 shoulders can fit in those shoulder launcher pods. Quote

Yea despite the bum leg, the price maybe cheap enough to overlook it. Already have the 0A but m saving it for any future ghost sets... If the RA sets are still available post release, getting another with a cheaper 0A would enable a double dragon RA display! front to front or back to back Edited May 5, 2016 by seti88 Quote
seti88 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 what does he mean the armor is dark...?? https://twitter.com/Mrk_arcadia/status/737955154712920065 hopefully photo's incoming soon. Quote

seti88 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 it certainly is a weird tweet. Unless he wants the fans to not get shocked somehow haha. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 we all know arcadia can't do blue. they just go dark! Quote

seti88 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 https://twitter.com/Mrk_arcadia/status/742650302071853057 sounds like matt coating...not too sure on translation... Quote
no3Ljm Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 It didn't mention anything pertaining to matt or gloss. But I don't think he's going gloss on this one, right? Quote
seti88 Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 (edited) I wouldnt try to translate anymore from the solid coating translation, but he has been cryptic of late. from the colored drawing, that might be an indication of the base colors they are working with... Should be viewed from an information viewpoint. The color might somehow magically change... Edited June 14, 2016 by seti88 Quote

mechaninac Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 The VF-0s' tooling were created to mold the toy's parts' outer surfaces with matte finish; to tool the Reactive Armor parts for gloss would be idiotic in the extreme, so a nice fine matte finish is 99.9% guaranteed (.1% chance of gloss because this is Arcadia we're talking about...). mechaninac Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I'm more worried with them achieving the correct color than the matte/gloss finish look. Hehehe. Fret not. I'm sure their color choices will be 100% accurate to their interpretation of what the colors should be... in their own heads. Whether or not those choices will be anywhere near what was depicted on screen, however... Quote
Lolicon Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Aside from the VF-19, Yamato/Arcadia has never released a glossy valk. And wasn't the 19 only made glossy at Kawamori's suggestion? Quote
Loop Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Yeah, Kawamori stated that the VF-19 series was meant to be glossy. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 1/60 YF-21 was glossy too IIRC. No, just the prototype shown before the actual release was glossy. Graham sold one of the prototypes here in the forums. The 1/60 YF-21 has a matte finish. Quote
