Thom Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I never saw the original series, so I don't know much about that, But this looks really good. Definitely fun and its great to see Cavil spreading out from the Superman role. Although I am hoping for a gag reel where he opens his shirt to show the 'S'!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Ky4KPzKwY Quote

Even if she was a robot! and a totally bangable one at that! Hey why not eh! Edited August 11, 2015 by spanner76 Quote
areaseven Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 69% - "The Man from U.N.C.L.E. tries to distract from an unremarkable story with charismatic stars and fizzy set pieces, adding up to an uneven action thriller with just enough style to overcome its lack of substance."Metacritic Score: 56 out of 100 Edited August 13, 2015 by areaseven Quote
M'Kyuun Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Saw it today. There's a lot of humor throughout. Set in the 60's, they play up the Russia vs America theme, but in a one-upmanship kinda way that's entertaining. All three leads played their parts well...loved Cavill's arrogant American. Vikander is just . It made for a nice distraction on a Saturday afternoon. Quote
spanner Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 going to see this Tuesday! really looking forward to it! Quote
Chewie Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I enjoyed it. A lot of the nuances of Guy Ritchie (Who I feel doesn't make a bad film, period.) and the trio nailed it. Music and some of the cutaways reminded me of the Ocean's films. Quote
areaseven Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 This film had so much potential: excellent locations, great cinematography, catchy soundtrack, Alicia Vikander. What killed it for me was the stiff performance by Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. Cavill is just trying too hard to emulate Robert Vaughn while Hammer simply has no chemistry with the rest of the cast. Definitely rental material only. So far, Kingsman: The Secret Service is the best spy film of 2015. I haven't seen Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation yet, and I'm not touching Spy with a 10-foot pole. Quote

Been reading a few mixed reviews about it but then again which movie doesn't get mixed reviews.. you can't please everyone I guess! I thought Kingsmen was only fairly average to be honest.. Still want to see Mission Impossible and yeah I have no plans to see Spy anytime soon either.. a friend of mine saw it and she liked it. Although she has odd tastes when it comes to movies so im not taking her word for it. Edited August 18, 2015 by spanner76 Quote
