Duke Togo Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 (edited) We already have a Rogue One thread, I'd suggest renaming this one "Star Wars: Han Solo" Edit: actually, you created the other thread, Dob. LOL Edited July 7, 2015 by Duke Togo Quote
Duke Togo Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord (um, yeah, not too thrilled about that), and written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan (which is good news). Quote

Dobber Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) So when the time comes for casting, this guy already played a young Harrison Ford in Age of Adeline. Looks and expressions wise he'd be perfect...just don't know how well he can act. Chris Edited July 8, 2015 by Dobber Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I don't know, got a bad feeling about this. Quote
TangledThorns Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 That would be weird to be type-casted into young Harrison Ford roles. Not saying that is a bad thing, just weird Maybe he can do a sequel to Regarding Henry next, lol. Quote
Dobber Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 I was actually wondering the same thing....if he would end up being type cast as the young Harrison Ford. Chris Quote
areaseven Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 So will this new film explain how Han Solo got the scar on his chin? Quote

Dynaman Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Disney is going to wring the Star Wars universe dry. On the plus side it is not a Boba-Fett movie. Quote
Dobber Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Disney is going to wring the Star Wars universe dry. On the plus side it is not a Boba-Fett movie. That'll be anthology movie #3. Chris Quote
azrael Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 On the plus side it is not a Boba-Fett movie. YET. They're still looking at that one. Quote
mechaninac Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Were this any other property, I'd say Disney runs the risk of running this franchise straight into the ground through over-saturation; but it is Star Wars... fans will just about eat up anything that's thrown at them. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 For me he's already Han and Indiana but for the directors, I'm not sure if they can pull it. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 when i first the title of this thread, i thought finally they're going to release an unaltered trilogy on bluray. Quote
Mr March Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Disney's gotta make back that 4 billion somehow. I have to admit, I am dying to see the internet 5 years from now. Will it be mostly pleasant surprise or a whole new era of raped childhoods? It makes sense that they would do a solo Han (chortle) film, being one of the most popular of the original characters. I suppose the big question is how far off the map are they going with these films. As always, I fear for the paralyzing effect that nostalgia seems to have on modern directors making these kinds of franchise films. If they are retreading old ground, I'd at least hope they open up the universe and avoid the "hyperlinked" problems of the prequels that made the Star Wars universe feel lifeless and small. Quote

Star Trek was like that too, up till Nemesis. Quote
TangledThorns Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) So will this new film explain how Han Solo got the scar on his chin? Han Solo got the scar from a speeder accident while he wasn't wearing his seat-belt Edited July 9, 2015 by TangledThorns Quote
JB0 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Han Solo got the scar from a speeder accident while he wasn't wearing his seat-belt I thought he got it by launching a prison into low orbit. Quote
TangledThorns Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I thought he got it by launching a prison into low orbit. I was paraphrasing the real life accident that caused the scar Quote
JB0 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Welp, that's definitely cooler than Stars' End. Also less ridiculous. Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Welp, that's definitely cooler than Stars' End. Also less ridiculous. Star's End was okay, Lost Legacy was meh, but Revenge? Now that was a great Han Solo story. Quote
JB0 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Even as a kid, I had trouble accepting Stars' End, the building, taking off like a rocket. To the extent that it's pretty much the only thing I remember from the book, because it overshadowed EVERYTHING. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I remember really liking the A C Crispin novels about Han. They felt like the movies. I just hope they work in that Fett Short Story. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Han Solo spinoff, Actor Anthony Ingruber addresses SW question. Quote
Duke Togo Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Multiple outlets are reporting that Alden Ehrenreich has been cast as Han Solo. Quote
Duke Togo Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Looks alright but too short. They can "shoot around" his height. I doubt we'll even notice. Besides, the new co-Chewie is 4 inches shorter than Peter Mayhew. Quote
Negotiator Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Oh that kid was in the witch movie. If true, Uh... Ok well w/e. Nothing to judge about him so, in auditions I trust. Quote
