Silverstreak Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Sad because no FB2012 Happy because I'll be saving money! Quote
jvmacross Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 So what else can possibly come from a VF-X license? Quote
wmkjr Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) https://twitter.com/ARCADIA_Co_Ltd?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Confirmed though don't know which one it'll be yet. It says ordering starts at the end of the month? Edited October 5, 2015 by wmkjr Quote
Jasonc Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I may get one just for the FB custom, but when looking at the picture, it looks to have blue trim. Did the original have that? Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Is the VF-4 confirmed or just speculations? This pic in on Arcadia's twitter Right now. Here's your answer, Bub: https://twitter.com/ARCADIA_Co_Ltd/status/650865714404814848 Guess it's not an Flashback 2012 VF-4G release after all. I'm going to wait first how much the reissue is going to cost. And decide from there what to do. I may get one just for the FB custom, but when looking at the picture, it looks to have blue trim. Did the original have that? Yup, I think it's the same. Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Just made a topic for it. no3 beat me by 2 min haha Quote
Jasonc Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Darn. At least something different would've been nice. Quote
treatment Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Well, now that the flying table is confirmed, Arcadia should now fully pursue their VB-6 v2 as their next project... Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Just made a topic for it. no3 beat me by 2 min haha Wait. What?! I'm sure the variants will come. haha Wait again. There were variants of this? Quote
spanner Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I'm sure the variants will come. haha hehe! nahh! hey why don't they make an assembly kit.. errr I mean "no painting ver." Quote
treatment Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) Honestly, I still (to this day) don't quite understand what makes this valk somehow attractive to some fans here. The battroid-mode is just darn fugly. It'll be fugly even in Hikaru's FB2012 colors. pic from TD-thread: http://toysdaily.com/discuz/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=243613&pid=7595780 Edited October 5, 2015 by treatment Quote

I guess, there's some members here who prefers their Macross 'Perfect Transformation' toys in Fighter mode only. And just by looking at that bird, you really can't tell that it does transform. And besides, before this reissue news, it's also been considered as one of the Holy Grail. Quote
jvmacross Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Here's hoping Arcadia will simply just screw up the colors again.....in a good way! Quote

I mean, even if battroid mode wasn't fleshed out until the 90s, there's just something about it that screams beefy 80s mech to me and that's impressive since the fighter mode looks like a sleek star fighter. Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 It's grown on me over the time I first saw it. It almost doesn't look like a macross mech. Quote
Sandman Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 So what else can possibly come from a VF-X license? Hopefully that blue vf-19 that yamato made a 1/72 of. I love that color scheme. Quote
treatment Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Hopefully that blue vf-19 that yamato made a 1/72 of. I love that color scheme. Love the scheme of it, too, but Arcadia should redesign the ankles of their current yf-19 to be non-stupid/non-wonky before they resurrect that particular VF-19A... Quote

But then again, I found most Valkyrie's battroid mode to look kinda ugly for a giant robot anyway. Quote
jenius Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 All battroids are beautiful, even the ugly ones! Quote

sharky Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) What on earth was so bad with the second Frontier movie?? It was pretty much the only thing I liked about Frontier. It's not a masterpiece like DYRL, but it was highly entertaining. I watched it twice in the cinema.I'm jealous you got to see it in theaters. I'd watch anything Macross in a theater multiple times. auberondreaming Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Whelp I was incorrect! Now I can get a second! Any chance the Arcadia one can go ahead and glue the damn missiles on this time? That's a gimmick that should be packed away... Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Not that I'm not happy about this reissue, I have two VF-4G's and I may get a third one if the price is reasonable, but I was hoping Arcadia would reissue the VF-1J Max & Millia first. They have the SDFM license, wonder what are they waiting for. Quote
jenius Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 What makes you think they have the license? I had heard otherwise, that it was pulled in advance of Delta for rebidding. Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 as happy as i am about the vf-4 being reissued, i'm wondering if the fb2012 colors will be done and.....more importantly for me.... when are they going to reissue super and strike parts for the VF-1!?! Quote

Mommar Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I didn't know you could do that with a butt. Quote
frankell05 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Arcadia, please make vf-5000b as for the vf-4g, I hope the use the quality of plastic they use for their valks now, and make sure the joints are good and don't brake. I am down to get this for sure Quote
