Whats next for Arcadia?

I think that Arcadia could make some serious cash if they were to re-release some of those things that few people had the opportunity to acquire, such as the 1/60 Premium Finish VF-0S and VF-0D, heck, release all the Macross Zero 1/60, but make the “Premium Finish” the regular release to compete with Bandai’s DX Chogokin tampo printing.  Also, Arcadia could have released a WWM edition VF-1J for the 40th. They did it for 30&35.

I recently paid 13,900 yen to a proxy in order to ship by EMS an Arcadia SDF-1 Premium Finish to USA, it only took 5 days to arrive.

DHL will be more expesive for sure, but not so much..

Some of y'all seriously overestimate the collectibles market for Macross, and underestimate how much money it costs to start up a new production run, even for an existing mold.

Kinda what i see here. I understand that Arcadia is trying to be smarter and these times are challenging in different ways. But why not keep future releases up for tease?  Why pull the VF-5000 from the line up? Don't they want us to keep the light on for future releases? Said excuse sounds weak.

No Non-PF SDF-1 got released yet. They just announced it during WonderFest Winter 2024.

Ahhh, okay. Well when/if they finally announce a re-release, what are the best sites these days to check for pre-orders? I haven't shopped for anime merch in quite awhile and am sure there are a lot of newer sites around. Thanks in advance.

my bad  I was meant to say 20 000 Y , was early in the morning today preparing for work and haven't drink my coffee yet and mistakenly put an extra Zero there 🤦‍♂️, 

meant 20,000 cause last time I order from Mandarake they charged me 10 000 yen for my DX Angel Bird Valk using DHL to CA, this was from Mandarake Nagoya, definitely not ordering an Arcadia SDF 1 from them,  😅, usually I paid like 5000 to 4000 yen for normal size DX Chogoking valk in AmiAmi and HLJ using DHL .

I guess I can now look at getting an SDF-1. I keep putting it off due to not being as interested in ships as toys, but every once in awhile, I feel like I should just have one. In any case, as I was at Wonderfest, I'm a bit disappointed in Arcadia and what they had on display. They didn't even show the Lynn Minmay figure, and I was waiting on that one just as much as the others. That is an easy money maker.

I wish it were PF, but if I don't have one of those fall in my lap at a bargain beforehand, I will likely grab this one.

Agreed. Arcadia looked to have a not so exciting offering to get excited about , from the few pictures I've seen. But I'm sure there was a bunch of other cool stuff at Wonderfest

Based on what Mr.K mentioned that there was no updates on the current line of products they were working on since the last exhibition. I felt it would have been at least something to show the line up of their products under development even if they were on hold, not progressed or delayed due to costs.

I never got a Yamato/Arcadia SDF release since I've wanted a TV version and price usually scared me off...

The Yamato VF-19P is the most perfect toy I've owned. Aesthetically and functionally simple and elegant .

I don't think that matters. Arcadia can just produce anything within their license whenever they want. And I'm sure there will be hype no matter what new series is airing (or Bandai is producing for the said new series) once Arcadia announce an actual Armored VF-11C and gets made.

And speaking of timeframe, look at their current VF-5000. Announced last Feb 2022. And here we are, May of 2024 and still no preorder date. I'm pretty sure it will be the same with Armored VF-11C.  

 

Unless ofcourse, Bandai interferes with the rest of Mac7 Valks license after their DX VF-19Kai and make the Armored VF-11C earlier than Arcadia.

Too bad Experten didn't tried to upscale their 1/100 kit below to 1/60.

I think that was the point of the design. It was kinda supposed to appear as a bit of an aged design that was ready to be retired or at least slowly phased out

Now looking again at the Armored VF-11, it really looks like a cross between both the Armored VF-0 & VF-1.

Hopefully in the next Macross show, the Armor for new VFs come back to these simpler designs instead of the overloaded ones we got in Delta.

This, and also most likely to not make it more attractive than the hero valks like the 19 and 21.

Yeah, in Battroid I can see this bar the torso part, but in plane mode it's it's own beast. The plane mode with those broad wings and feety thrusters has always reminded me of a goose flying.

Transformed Gamlin VF-22 a few times and had fun showing my son "deliimiter" mode.  Still holding up great and my favorite single valk I own.  Put on the last episode of Dynamite 7 so he could see it briefly in action.  

I would like slightly thicker legs (even if they were partsformer swaps for battroid, but thinking hollow and slightly bowing out the belly plays should give enough clearance), heat shield cover and there should be a small ball joint on the head laser (perhaps a ratcheted center position).

It's probably been mentioned before, but I'll say it again. 

PF grade YF-21...and a "Moon Shooter" too (I know it's a VF-22, but still, I would enjoy it much more as a '21!).

I have the Bandai one on pre-order, but that fighter version...no comment. I really like what Arcadia did when they brought out the PF VF-0S. It's nicely refined. 

I would hope that it could happen to the YF-21 after some time.
