derex3592 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 I will admit, the ONLY thing I like about this thing is that dark tinted canopy...look nice. Quote
Lolicon Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Who actually buys the anniversary schemes? I'm sure some do, but is that number really enough to make a production run profitable? Quote

At least this one is a step up from the 30th anniversario. My only thought is that BW strong arms producers into this. Like, it's in the contract that says they have to produce commemorative paint schemes because I can't figure out a reason why they would ever do this ahead of something like a VF-1D reissue. Quote

Before I used to buy them immediately, but seeing as they end up as shelf warmers means I can prioritize for other items or just save money. Quote
Slave IV Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 I've never bought one before but I would buy this one if I see it on clearance for the sole purpose of putting the FEXT armor on it. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 I actually like this one in fighter mode. Quote
Nonrenormalizable Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 I'm guessing this doesn't have a waist swivel. I will pass unless FEXT shows me how it looks armored up Quote
ScrambledValkyrie Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 I can understand BW requiring a licensee to make anniversary schemes, but I can’t figure why they want them to be so overly colorful and decorated. In this example, I think if they toned it down some by removing maybe 40% of the striping and most of the lettering, it could look really good. I wasn’t really into the anniversary Messer scheme in HMR, but I thought it was much more tastefully done in terms of the amount of deco. Then again, at least they aren’t doing one of these: Quote
SpaceCowboy Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 35th Anniversary wouldn't look half bad if it weren't all the text graffiti littering it up. Quote

I don’t think they will put one now just for this Anniversary scheme. Quote

HardlyNever Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I hate to admit it, but this anniversary scheme is kind of growing on me. I'm not really sure why. Still no way I'd preorder one, but if it ends up in the bargain bin as predicted, I might rescue one. Maybe the production run will be really low, though. Quote
chyll2 Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 surprised (not) that no one posted this https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/26242-macross-1-60-kanzen-henkei-vf-1j-macross-35th-anniversary-model.html Quote
