nismogtrr32 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Finally got my VF19 Advanced in the mail. Here are some pictures with my other models. Might start painting them to see how it'll look. Quote
Galaxy_Stranger Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 That's just amazing - I'm so jealous! You got them from Shapeways? How costly are they to print? Quote
nismogtrr32 Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 That's just amazing - I'm so jealous! You got them from Shapeways? How costly are they to print? Yeah. I modeled these myself on Maya. They cost me around 15 dollars each. Quote
nismogtrr32 Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 They're about 1/200 scale. So about 3.7 inches long. They're on shapeways for around 20 bucks. Quote
Knight26 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 hmm, not bad, too bad they aren't painted for that, or the seller didn't have them printable with textures like some do Quote
nismogtrr32 Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 hmm, not bad, too bad they aren't painted for that, or the seller didn't have them printable with textures like some do Lol, I'm actually the seller and designer. I would texture these but Shapeways only do Sandstone in Color. For how thin a lot of the parts are in the model it won't print well in SandStone. Whenever Shapeways start doing plastic in color I would be on it. Quote
Galaxy_Stranger Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 zomg - that's a totally affordable price - even if you figure out larger scales! I'd totally do a 1/72 scale set of parts to assemble and paint myself for ~30 or 40 bucks. And they look great as-is. Quote

But the models themselves aren't super detailed so If I were to go bigger I would have to model something for more details. Thanks for the compliments! Quote
chillyche Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 They have a full color plastic material now, but it might still be in beta. Look into it! Though, honestly, tiny parts have some bleed-through. Quote

bumpthat Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 They look great! Have you started painting them yet? Quote
spanner Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) well that's one way to get the boosters to fit on and stay on.. mold them as one with the Valk! hehe! Edited July 5, 2015 by spanner76 Quote
nismogtrr32 Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 They look great! Have you started painting them yet? I tried painting them with acrylic and that didn't work out well lol. I'll try the full colored plastic material on shapeways once I get the textures done. Quote
