antibiotictab Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) The 54th Shizuoka Hobby Show will be held from May 14 to 17. http://www.hobby-shizuoka.com/ The first 2 days are for the business talks between the companies. It will start within 12 hours. In the last 2 days, many modelers' clubs' exhibits will be held, as usual. Sorry to say Arcadia is not on the list this year, too. ※I found a typo... 鑑これってなんやねん・・・。艦これですね。orz Edited May 14, 2015 by antibiotictab Quote
chyll2 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 sigh no arcadia, but it seems like Bandai will be there. Hopefully, they have something macross related there. Quote
Noyhauser Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Are any of you going? Its actually something I always want to go, but I never seem to make it. I was in Japan twice at the same time in the past four years, but I had to visit an ailing family member and could not make the journey. Perhaps I will go next year. I've seen photos of some vendors selling sprues without boxes, and I would love to dive in (especially the fine molds booth). If anyone is going and happens to wander in, let me know. Quote
chyll2 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 iirc, antibioctictab and jefuemon lives in Japan (or located in Japan) antibioctictab most of the time visit these hobby shows and never fail to shares what he took pictures of. Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Looking at that map, is Kotobukiya attending? Quote
EXO Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I don't think Arcadia/Yamato come to these right? Right now most of the exciting announcements are coming from Bandai and Hasegawa anyway. I guess we're all waiting for the next new entirely new mold from Arcadia... either from a media release or Summer Wonderfest. Quote
Duymon Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I always thought Shizuoka was more actual hobby-based, not toys. I don't recall Yamato or Arcadia every going to these unless my memory I spotty Quote
antibiotictab Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) When I went there in 2012 for the first time, there actually was the Yamato booth. Looking at that map, is Kotobukiya attending? No. They will hold their own event, "Akiba Mokei Fair" at Kotobukiya Akiba Shop together with WAVE, Gianotes, and Max Factory. Sorry, details unknown. http://www.kotobukiya.co.jp/event/event-40306/ Edited May 14, 2015 by antibiotictab Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Hmm, well that's interesting. Thanks for the info! Quote

I do, but I live way up in Sapporo. I will make it down there someday, though! One of the casual members of the VF-1 Riders is a member here, and I've been told I can participate in their display if I can ever make it. Quote
antibiotictab Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 One of the casual members of the VF-1 Riders is a member here, and I've been told I can participate in their display if I can ever make it. I talked to Cancer107 yesterday on twitter. He will not be at the booth tomorrow, he said. Now the bullet train tickets are ready, and I have already planed which booths will I go to. In this time VF-1 Riders is next to Flat☆Twin. So easy to access to 2 Macross related clubs at once, so, don't miss it. And there is Flameout Modeling's booth. I know they join in Wonder Fests every time, so I think this is the first opportunity to see theirs in SHS for me. Quote
antibiotictab Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Can't what to see your pics! It's a "table layout" thing.A rainy day for Shizuoka. Quote
antibiotictab Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Any new bandai hi-metal VF display? IIRC, there were no hi-metals at the Bandai booth. They might want to reccomend so many ganplas. And IIRC, there were no Macross at the FLAT☆Twin and Flameout Models... Quote

Pedro2k6 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Wich model is this?....like vf-25 with yf-19 wings.....Love it. Quote
antibiotictab Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 I saw them. The card with those ones said original setting and modified ones. IMO, not many macross-related items this year. Quote
antibiotictab Posted May 19, 2015 Author Posted May 19, 2015 This is the last one. https://youtu.be/w5SYr9xeNkA Quote
Chas Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 (edited) Anyone have any info on these builds: I googled the name from the card 'Anavel Sato' and found an interview, but I'm looking for more pics of his models. Edited May 19, 2015 by Chas Quote
antibiotictab Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 According to his name, he definitely likes Gundam 0083. I also googled using "アナベル サトー," and found his twitter account and his Gunplas. If you have some question, how about ask it on twitter by yourself? https://twitter.com/anavel_sato Quote
