Is that SLS printed?

I'm guessing Shapeways, or a similar service, based on the texture.  They make some very nice prints, but sanding the material they use is exhausting.

@Chronocidal is right: the prototypes are printed in MJF technology from HP. The base material is PA12 which is the same material for SLS. Only the color is different, SLS uses white plastic and MJF use black plastic.

It still unclear how this Ghost X-9 will be released.

Since I invested in a air brush, I can do the painting, but preparing (sanding/primer x3 times) takes too much efforts to be enjoyable when done multiple times. If I find a professional sandblasting service, open to sanding plastic parts instead of dental apparels, that would be a different story!

If @valhary can make resin copy from a sanded/primed/clean set, then problems should be solved and the ghost could be a resin set. I am also investigating Chinese manufacturers to see if there is one which would be interested to make a toy/plastic kit out of it, and that would be the ideal solution!

Primer looks ok, next steps will be to prime in white to have a lighter red finish.

Damn, you’ve managed to top your previous effort.  Nice change to the wing folding mechanism.  I’d like to see more of the enhancements.

@Mommar esthetically this V2 is very similar to tte first version. The main changes are the 1) more compact/efficient landing gears mechanism, 2) front clear widow shape, 3) slight changes to global shape peculiarly on the bottom stabilizer which has been enlarged. 4) every moving mechanisms have been reviewed to be enhanced to be more solid and long lasting (bottom stab, missile traps, wings and Sharon seat). 5) super parts have been shaped more ala Tenshin illustration instead of based on the line art and use magnets now. 

I plan to make a video soon too!

As you can see in the videos the superparts attach system works very well with the magnets

That's great. It doesn't require the either or pieces for with or without super parts.

Hi guys, I wanted to thank warmly @valhary for his help in this project. He is taking over for the distribution of the resin kit because I have been very busy since 2020 (moving homes, new job, a lot of work in the house etc) and couldn’t even design a single part since a couple months. 

And I think he is great at promoting! Even I wouldn’t have done as well as he does

@Bolt the material is described in the assembly Manuel and for the magnets, their dims are diameter 5mm x 3mm height. I have grabbed a few on eBay. I think they were N50 grade, but N35 would also work well, don’t worry.

I am also thinking of making a few parts available on shapeways/stl version as upgrades. First thoughts for the landing gears because in resin they won’t sustain the weight of the ghost, so in plastic PA12, they will hold better for a permanent display.

If you have any ideas, they are welcome as always, i would do my best!

Thanks for the comments Xigfrid I appreciate it a lot! only tried to make a product at the same level that your design that is awesome by the way!

I assembly the test a month ago an until now no problems with the landing gear maybe is because is integrated by many parts and not only by one but I guess only time will tell us

with regard the magnets still exists the possibility to include without increasing the sale price (yet in negotiations with a local supplier)

It is not printing is the resin version and yes will come in color
