dapro Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I tried hair dryer and it doesn't seem to do anything. Any other suggestion? Thanks Quote
chyll2 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Heat (small flame with a good distance or hair dryer) will probably remove or reduce the stress mark, though you can paint that section for both with gray or white and it will not look off. Quote
Boroboy Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Try to find someone with an SMD rework station if you have any electronics geeks or makerspaces in your life. It can precisely control the temperature of the hot air as well as being a pinpoint application of the heat. If the hair dryer didn't work, I'd be hesitant to work it with something as broad as a heat gun. Chyll2's suggestion of paint would probably be the way to go if you can't get to an SMD kit. Good luck! Quote
dapro Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 I did the candle trick over a flame and it works. Took only couple seconds. Quote
AcroRay Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Good! And thanks for sharing the results, too! Quote

chaff.g Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Kinda incredible that that trick works. Strange that it isn't common knowledge among Gunpla builders. Gonna try that out on my next nub mark. Quote
