w8kbrder Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Obviously I'm new to the forums so I was curious what you guys considered the best display stands to use for your collections? I'd like to find something that is clear and not noticeable. Is there anything like that available or is this something Im going to have to spend months trying to travk down someone willing to sell? no3Ljm Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 There's a lot of threads now regarding display stands. Here are some: Advice for display standshttp://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=34669&hl=%20best%20%20display%20%20stand Lost and Found Toys now flightpose.comhttp://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=32630&hl=+best%20+display%20+stand Yamato standshttp://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=28936&hl=%20best%20%20display%20%20stand Are there any cheaper alternatives for stands?http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=28557&hl=%20best%20%20display%20%20stand YetiStand Alpha http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41509 http://www.yetistand.com To be honest, I think ChaoticYeti really nailed how display stand should be just by checking YetiStand thread. With a lot of customization option. There's some numbers of stand there by Yamato but those are expensive nowadays. Atleast with Yeti, it can hold 2-4 VF-1 valks just by using one display base. You just need to buy some parts in order to do so. I haven't tried it personally (hopefully mid-year), but from what I've seen on his thread from other members, it looks perfect. Hope that helps. SuperSenpai Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Yeti's stand is the best one, hands down, in comparison to all the other options. The rest of the pack suffer from one or more of these shortcomings: unavailable in a clear material hard to find or very expensive unable to display in all three modes can only support one toy, so multiple toys require multiple bases taking up valuable display area limited to displaying one type or scale of toy I think Yeti designed a really simple, elegant, and flexible solution that works well across a number of different toys. One of the biggest strengths is that you can display multiple toys using one base. Also, since he's a forum member, it's really easy to get in touch w/him and provide feedback. He's introduced a number of different adapter types as a result of a few forum members indicating interest. Yetistands are not the cheapest stands, but they aren't unreasonably priced, and they provide the most value for your money IMO. That's saying a lot considering that most of the other solutions are being produced by larger companies with access to large-scale manufacturing facilities. Edited April 14, 2015 by SuperSenpai Quote
dapro Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 And I am having a sale right now! Mr. Yeti, what is needed to have 4 vf-1 on one stand? I want to see how much for budget planning. Quote
no3Ljm Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Hope this helps from the YetiStand thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41509&page=36#entry1181798 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41509&page=39#entry1184570 Basically, if you browse YetiStands' thread, you will see member's customize setup. If it's not so hard, I hope members next time who post their customize setup should mention what parts did they use for the specific setup so other members can get ideas on what to order... like me. I hope that helps! I am working on a 3d customizer web app for the site. It is a ways off, if it is coming at all. Quote

ChaoticYeti Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 4 xl arms, and at least 1 elbow on-top of my minimum suggestion for that quad setup. Quote
CF18 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 The Arcadia stand is quite good for the price, but seems to be sold out everywhere now. Compatible with Yamato and Arcadia units only: But some of the stand adapters that came with the VFs are rather poor, e.g. the YF-19 fighter mode adapter is not attaching securely to the plane, so the pose shown above is not safe. The similar adapter on the Yamato VF-19 is even worst. Yeti stands are better, and he also have better adapters than the default ones. Quote
ChaoticYeti Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I have replacements for the 19 adapters. http://www.yetistand.com/product/arcadia-1-60-yf-19-fighter-stand-adapter http://www.yetistand.com/product/yamato-1-60-vf-19-s-f-p-k-fighter-stand-adapter These are also compatible with Yamato stands, and the Arcadia stand. Jasonc Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 My favorite was the Yamato stands just for their look and authenicity. That said, I'm not super picky, and would love anything that gets the job done. Unfortunately, I haven't received one of Chaotic Yeti's stands yet. One, because I need to figure out what I'm gonna put on them to maximize the stand, two, I owed quite a bit for taxes and have been extremely picky on my purchases. I did get about 5 of the new Arcadia stands, and they're quite good, if not a little simplistic. I like that they have storage. Quote
w8kbrder Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) Just ordered a set from you! Thanks again. Yeti website looks great. Love the example pics. Edited April 15, 2015 by w8kbrder Quote
