Scyla Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Macross: probably the VF-19S Non Macross: MP-10B or MMCs Warper Quote
Valkyrie Driver Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 I echo some of the other sentiments, I love my whole collection. I think I'd be hard pressed to choose a single example from my collection to save. Their's something to love about each example in my collection. Quote
Moosey Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I lusted after the YF-19 for so long and was so delighted to finally get my hands on the Arcadia version but if the house was burning down it'd be Max VF-1J I'd grab. Quote
ChaoticYeti Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 That's the way I like to think about it. Of course we cherish our entire collection, but push comes to shove and death is on the line which ONE item do you save? Quote

Of course we cherish our entire collection, but push comes to shove and death is on the line which ONE item do you save? dang, this got me thinking about a valk bug out bag, or a secondary off-site storage facility! XD getting a 1/60 low vis roy soon! defo my last non-PO valk for the year and new king of my valk hill. Quote
ChaoticYeti Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 dang, this got me thinking about a valk bug out bag, or a secondary off-site storage facility! XD Wait....don't you already have one? I thought that most people did this. Quote
Renato Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Can't decide between this one or the VF-19P. 19P for looks, but this one has the built-in shoulder speakers, plus the sound booster option, so in the end as a toy it is pretty much perfect and so much fun. I transform it several times a week, while most of my other valks are just left on display these days! Quote
McFly!! Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Wait....don't you already have one? I thought that most people did this. Bwahaha! I need a valk collection continuity and disaster recovery plan! Quote
happy_spike Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Bwahaha! I need a valk collection continuity and disaster recovery plan! I have one. Step 1. Lose Valks. Step 2. Cry. Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 1. 1/60 V2 Elint Seeker. I just love the look of it, and the colors. 2. Non-Macross: SOC Big-O. I loved this show when it came out and it's one of the first toys I bought when I started collecting a few years back. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 if the house was burning down it'd be Max VF-1J I'd grab. if the house was burning i'd grab my vf-4g and the sdf-1 1/3000 and then the vf-x and then the vf-1s 30th dyrl roys and then the vf-1d w/ option parts and then the max vf-1s weatherings and then the kaki weathering, and then the 25s ozma. if i had any 171 cf i'd leave them to burn. The sound booster thing for Basara's 19 looks kinda silly.. Quote
spanner Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Ok im changing my vote.. my new favs will be my v2 M&M's but only when they actually arrive! So for now its still my TV Hikaru VF-1J.. Quote
Boroboy Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 if the house was burning i'd grab my vf-4g and the sdf-1 1/3000 and then the vf-x and then the vf-1s 30th dyrl roys and then the vf-1d w/ option parts and then the max vf-1s weatherings and then the kaki weathering, and then the 25s ozma. if i had any 171 cf i'd leave them to burn. LOL - maybe you could fill the CFs with baking soda and vinegar and use them like old timey fire fighting grenades. Throw them at the fire hoping the chemical reaction will put it out. Note their valiant sacrifice, and hope Bandai does them a better v2! Quote
auberondreaming Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Going to have to go with my vf-4. I just love the design, the fact that these were space planes really got expressed here with all the thrust nozzles. That fighter...man. Quote
Valkyrie Driver Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 You know, at first, I hated my DX VF-171, but It's kinda grown on me. THe transformation is a bit fiddly, but now that I've done it 2 or three times, it's not so bad. I do Believe that I have a DX renewal VF-25 waiting to be picked up at home. I'm at my parent's house for spring break... GAH, I can't wait. Quote
JetJockey Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) From Macross? The 1/48 Hikaru VF-1S from DYRL by Yamato. I don't consider these high end models toys though. Back when I was a kid you played with toys and barely had them setup for display. Edited March 19, 2015 by JetJockey Quote
BlueMax Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Yamato 1/60 strike VF-1S Roy Focker special. Non Macross has to be Maketoys Green Giant ( not Devastator) Quote
barurutor Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I have a soft spot for the Hikaru TV-1J with Supers, even over the Skull 1S Strike. Quote
arrow Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I would save my VE-1, one of the macross that I never transformed, aside from my SV-51 and macross quarter. Quote
Valkyrie Driver Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 I need to add the VF-22 to my collection... Quote
aaajin Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Arcadia's 1/60 YF-19 & Yamato's 1/60 VF-1 ver2 Edited March 20, 2015 by aaajin Quote
DarrinG Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 WAVE - Galient Tetsukyojin, Full-Action Model One is up for sale at a fairly sane price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ULTRA-RARE-WHAM-WAVE-PANZER-WORLD-GALIENT-CREST-TETSUKYOJIN-WAVKG-01-/251861195866?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa418dc5a Quote
eriku Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 It's varies, but it's usually either the Joke Machine, the Bandai DX VF-17S, the Yamato VF-19P or the Bandai SD Ininity VF-25. Quote
Kicker773 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Minmay guards, blue roses set and 1/2000 SDF Quote
Old Man Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I'm with Kicker on this one...I'd save my Minmay Guard Paris and Moon Act Kurt customs I wish I had the Blue Roses squad as well, but, sadly, Kurt has hung up his hat Quote
spanner Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 WAVE - Galient Tetsukyojin, Full-Action Model this guy sure looks pretty tough!! very nice! Quote
Britai 7018 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I think the Yamato VF-4 is my favorite Macross toy followed by the 1/60 YF-21. Non Macross would probably be the SoC Gunbuster. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 The first edition of Yamato 1/60 VF-1, not perfect but prefer it over version 2. Quote
spanner Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) The first edition of Yamato 1/60 VF-1, not perfect but prefer it over version 2. Really you prefer the v1 over the v2? hmmm each to their own of course but I do still find this quite intriguing! What is it that you prefer about them? When I had my lot of v1 years ago and long before the v2 hit the scene yes they were ok initially but i soon grew to dislike them. Their odd proportions, poor build quality and shonky transformation were just too much to handle for me.. Edited March 23, 2015 by spanner76 Quote
DarrinG Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 For Macross, its between the 1J GBP and my custom TV Q-Rau . . . Quote
Ryoma Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 The first edition of Yamato 1/60 VF-1, not perfect but prefer it over version 2. Thank you. Now i know i am not the only one out there. I was never able to replace my VF-1 TV version with the V.2. Especially the VF-1J Hikaru. In battroid mode it still looks great. What i like more of the V.1 compared to the V2. are basically three things: 1. In battroid mode they look much more like, well, a robot rather than a humanoid. 2. Panel lines are too shallow in the V.2(Although still acceptable). 3. I like some metal in my toys. I do have to say though that the V.2 from dyrl are really good especially with the FP and especially the weathering version. Those are just beautiful. Quote
