areaseven Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Disney's most successful animated series of all-time* is being rebooted in 2017 for the Disney XD channel. Disney XD to Reboot DuckTales Animated Series for 2017 Launch *Darkwing Duck fans will have to admit that they wouldn't have their show without this. Quote
myk Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Duck Tales, along with Rescue Rangers, made for an entertaining hour of fun after school. I will say now what I always say about remakes from the 80's: LEAVE IT ALONE... Quote
JB0 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 As long as life is still like a hurricane, and there's still race cars, lasers, and aeroplanes, I guess I have no complaints. Quote
Mommar Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Cool, I'm forcing my nephew to watch it. Too bad it isn't backed with Darkwing Duck, but then I feel like I'm the only person who ever liked that (he was Disney's freaking Batman for Christ sakes it was RIPE for movie treatment but instead we got several, awful, Goof Troop movies.) WHAT? Everyone likes Darkwing Duck. Duck Tales, along with Rescue Rangers, made for an entertaining hour of fun after school. Don't forget Talespin. I'm all for a new DuckTales. Especially if it leads to a new Darkwing Duck. And while we're on it, how about we get the guys that did the HD remaster of the DuckTales NES game to give the same treatment to DuckTales 2? Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 song's stuck in my head... ah disney afternoon shows at its best. one channel: duck tales, gargoyles, tale spin and then turn to the other channel for the real ghostbusters and power rangers (fake voltron). then sat morning gummy bears and depressing winnie the poo Quote

Dynaman Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 These came out too late for me and too soon for my kids but I still remember them being quality programming. (all the Duck shows and the Rescue Rangers) Quote
Jefuemon Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 WHAT? Everyone likes Darkwing Duck. Electrovolt - "Are you crazy??" DW - "Well, a little manic-depressive on Mondays, but other than that I'm OK." Quote
boinger Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Man, oh, man. That's news to me! I'm hoping that more realistic adventures with a touch of humour can be made with this series and great characters (other than Webigail). I'm thinking that less "kid-ified" TV adapatations of some of Carl Barks' Duck adventure stories could be done, like Vacation Time, Lost in the Andes, The Flying Dutchman, The Golden Helmet, etc. Duck Tales was inspired by Carl Barks Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge comics. I just don't know if Alan Young can keep voice acting Uncle Scrooge when he's 95 years old! So, I expect new voice actors for this series. And IDW comic publisher is coming out with new Disney comics this year! And Fantagraphics is not only publishing an affordable hard cover series of Carl Barks Disney Duck comic works, but also Don Rosa's complete Disney Duck comics works are being published, too! I like it. *********** Does this mean that Duck Tales Season 4 will finally be available on DVD? Quote

TangledThorns Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 While Disney has created great animated series I hope this new Ducktales isn't some stupid looking CGI series. Also, they need to bring back Tail Spin too! Quote

TangledThorns Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Another series that Disney should bring back is Tron: Uprising, that was the best western produced animated series in decades. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjbwVzJR8w4 Quote
xrentonx Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Couldn't wait til school let out so I could catch some Duck Tales as a kid. It kinda jumped the shark with Bubba duck though. I loved me Gizmo and Darkwing so go figure. Quote
mikeszekely Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Another series that Disney should bring back is Tron: Uprising, that was the best western produced animated series in decades. No arguments there. It's a shame it's not on Netflix anymore. Quote
