DarrinG Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 When might this baby be released? Any indication so far? Quote
north-exit Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Hot! so beautifully realized, if the engineering is up to snuff, this will be a dream. Hope it's available before 2017...will probably get released 3rd quarter 2016, is my guess. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Looks badass. I hope it's not astronomically priced. In reality, this would be such a heavy, cumbersome bike, and it would have to self stabilize during stops, since the rider can't put his foot to the ground. It's such pure anime madness, but the coolness of it helps to blur my practical side, if only for a blissful moment. Really hope it turns out well, and that I can afford one. Quote
no3Ljm Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Feb 2016. No price yet. Need confirmation if it's preorder or availability date. Quote
gunbuster76 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 the shogo is pretty ugly looking. T_T still getting it anyways. Quote
Hikuro Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The attention to detail on the Garland is great, I like that. But then you look at that shogo figure and it while detailed still just doesn't work for me. Quote
no3Ljm Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 any news on scale? Up to now it still says 'non-scale' on the item card besides the figure.New photos from TagHobby. Quote
jenius Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I wonder if that means it's like 1/20 scale in bike mode but like 1/15 in the other mode. Some day I hope to take a tape measure to it.... Quote
Major Focker Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 i'm hoping 1/18 so it goes with my diecast cars, or 1/20 so it goes with MaK. in any case, i'll get it regardless of scale and put a tape measure on it. haven't seen any pre-orders yet though. Quote
Big s Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 The fact that it has a really cool figure with an amazing robot makes me want this. I just hope I can afford it when it comes out. Quote
F360 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 (edited) are they doing a bunch of Mecha stuff now too. (I think i posted in the wrong thread, probably should be in the Max factory one) Edited February 7, 2016 by F360 Quote
M'Kyuun Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Ooh, that E=X Garland looks nice. I hope they do a Proto-Garland, too. And, I really hope I can afford at least one of these when they finally release. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 More curious about the VF-1A/S. AND The prospect of decent Pacific Rim figures. -b. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Huh, y'know, I didn't even notice that VF-1 outline until I read your post. I'm kinda VF-1'd out, but it'd be really cool if they made one where the various panels were removable to allow highly detailed inner mechanical workings to be revealed. It'd be prohibitively expensive for me personally, but somewhere someboby would buy one and hopefully post a couple hundred pics of the thing on Flickr for poor schlubs like me to drool over. Vicarious toy enjoyment and I are old pals. Quote
SuperHobo Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Man we live in a weird world where three different companies are making transforming Garland toys and one of them is the E-X Garland from part 3. Madness I tell you! Quote
jenius Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 That says they're doing a 1/20 scale VF-1. Does it say that it's fighter mode only? Quote
SuperHobo Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Some official pictures and a 39,800 yen price tag. http://hobby.dengeki.com/news/173450/ Quote
Sandman Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Jeez these prices are getting ridiculous. Who do they think are going to buy these things? Quote

Scyla Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Jeez these prices are getting ridiculous. Who do they think are going to buy these things? Fewture makes cool toys. I'm super interested in their recent Getter Robo series but their price points are an instant mood killer for me. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Yeah, Shogo's gonna have to keep his glasses on. Quote
anime52k8 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Do we still not know how big this is gonna be? I'm hoping it's big for the price. I kind of need one in my life either way though. Quote
GU-11 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Do we still not know how big this is gonna be? I'm hoping it's big for the price. I kind of need one in my life either way though. It stands at 25 centimeters tall in robot mode. Quote
SuperHobo Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Yeah, Shogo's gonna have to keep his glasses on. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw his eyes. They stare into your soul. Quote
no3Ljm Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Hmmm. With that price point, I think I'll pass on this. I might use that amount though on Olson's Orguss instead. Quote
anime52k8 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I like the Garland a lot more than the Orguss though. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) HLJ has the PO for 37810 yen. That little discount doesn't soften the blow. Still, the thing looks gorgeous, and I'd love to have at least one decent Garland toy. The paint job and metallic finishes have me nigh to drooling. I think I'll exercise restraint, though, for a review, and hopefully, it'll go on sale for around $200 sometime later this year. Hey, a guy can dream. However, if reviews agree that this thing is solid top to bottom, I may just pay the asking price just to have it. But then again, if they make the Proto-Garland .... I'd rather have that. Damn my first world dilemma! But yeah, these toy prices are becoming nigh-prohibitive these days, unless you work three jobs, eat ramen full-time, and have no life outside of collecting. jenius Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I waited for the MegaHouse Orguss to go on sale... still waiting. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) Preordered it. I know. It is very expensive, but hey, it's Fewture. Their stuff is usually very rare and gets more expensive by the hour after release. Besides their take on classic mecha is always fantastic. I love what they did with the classic Garland and it's probably going to be my only Fewture toy anyway so might as well be the Garland, a mecha design I like so much and that has gotten so little attention over the years. Also 25 cms is way taller than the old Yamato IIRC, if the toy happens to be solid as well, it'll be worth the price. My only gripe so far is that the bike looks massive next to the figure and that Shogo's face is not great. At least he can stand on his own this time.
