Doublepush Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Hey guys, first time posting here and I tried lurking a bit to find the answers to my question but to no avail. I'm just trying to figure out where I can find super/strike/GBP sets for Yamato/Arcadia's v2 VF-1 Valks. I tried eBay and mandarake only really able to find full sets (valk with parts) and I'm just looking for the parts, and to get an idea what the average price for these sets should be. Any help at all is greatly appreciated, Cheers. Quote
chyll2 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Mandarake requires camping (not really healthy to do) but it is the only source of getting cheap Strike/Super Parts. The usual asking is 8k yen. If you follow YJA, Strike/Super parts with Option parts ends up priced 8k to 11k yen (depend on the condition and if it has option parts). That is before shipping and commission for proxy. People automatically buys its if it is priced 100 usd and below. (i tried to search at mandarake, but it looks like even the weathering version are sold out) Quote
derex3592 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 The answer to your question is this...Wait for Arcadia to re-release them and jack the price up at least 50% from what Yamato sold them for. That's about the only real solution sadly. Quote
Doublepush Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 That's kind of what I figured. I finally bit the bullet on the 30th Anniversary VF-1J as my first Arcadia 1/60, because of the sale on HLJ. Still not completely in love with the color scheme so I thought I could try to cover some of it up with super parts In all honesty though the paint is growing on me, and I'm sure it'll be nicer in hand than in photos. Don't buy them on eBay unless you are desperate. They are overpriced over there IMO. I've seen them on Mandarake in the past for anywhere 8000 to 10,000 yen. Quote

aaajin Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I thought the price was on the high side and wasnt expecting anyone to be interested in taking it off the shelf. but havent checked ebay prices though... Quote

derex3592 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 These should sell for $50-$60 a set IMHO. Anything more is just stupid. Yes, I know I'm dreaming... Quote
SuperSenpai Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I bought a set off of a MW forum member a while back for $100 shipped. This was post-Yamato. At the time I thought it was a very fair price. Yes, I'm aware that they sold for less than that back in the way. You may ridicule my purchase when 1) Arcadia does a reissue of the SSP, and 2) they retail for less than my after-market price. :-) Quote
