vlenhoff Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I saw one of these pics somewhere before! i could not remember who it belonged to. I was not on the HMR train back then. I have been looking at 1/100 buildings, but those 1/150 look pretty amazing, and imho animation accurate! I also hear the HO Locomotive scale is about 1/89. A building or two, a few trees, would really bring up a dispplay. That is an amazing diorama sir. I am no expert, but i love it. One thing that boggling my mind is: How BIG is that Godzilla!!??? 25 minutes ago, tekering said: I love those Macross shots, wow! I spy a Jabba's Barge , and the Jango's big Slave ship, very cool! I wish i had the Boba's big Slave 1 in my collection. Quote
vlenhoff Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 ^ ^ ^ Very cool ^ ^ ^ I suggest the poster edges filter, to make it look more cartoony or comic book like. Quote
vlenhoff Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 (edited) Ok, so i got this set from seller susieq1001 at ebay. Great communication, and price! Now my Brownei can have his gun show. Edited June 25, 2019 by vlenhoff Quote

Well, not quite big enough to scale with Hi-Metal R... ...or even intimidate Minmay, it would seem. 1 hour ago, vlenhoff said: I wish i had the Boba's big Slave 1 in my collection. vlenhoff Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 (edited) Lol Godzilla looks so excited to meet Minmei, hilarious. Or is She flashing him? OH you are too kind, I am not nearly as good as real modelers. Your photos are impeccable. Do you have a bendable high reflective material for your backgrounds? Like for the Slave 1 background? Just great work. Yeah, i would weather this Slave 1 a bit, just because I am OCD at times. With that said, the stock paint job is very cool. I am not sure I will ever get one, and I am pretty complete in my Ship collection. Not top of mind right now. i do love it though, it is such a crazy ship. Edited June 25, 2019 by vlenhoff Quote
jeniusornome Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 @tekering TY! @sh9000 what paints did you use for your mass prod 1j, and your max & milia touch-ups? I've got a 1J here that took an unfortunate fall, broke the tailfins, and I was thinking to just take it apart for a display. But that means I've got a 1J head I could repaint and pop on a 1A. Quote

Heh, I know sarcasm is hard to convey on the internet. I was trying to make an intentionally bad/goofy version of it (hence the multi-colored comic sans). Glad you enjoyed it either way. Quote

No, I use a glass table with black velvet under it. If the angle's low enough, it seamlessly reflects the photo paper on the wall behind it. Quote

Yeah SH9000 has done a great job the Brownie 1J, and others. Now you can make a broken/damaged 1A brownie too, very cool. 29 minutes ago, HardlyNever said: Heh, I know sarcasm is hard to convey on the internet. vlenhoff Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 (edited) Sorry I've been posting a lot, but man. Tekerin's room just blew my head off. Kinda the same effect happens when i see SH9000 HMR's collection. Your 3.75 collection is insane. Which one would you say is the best/definitive X-wing to have? Edited June 25, 2019 by vlenhoff Quote
jeniusornome Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 @tekering is that Kotobukiya's Type 92 Maser Tank kit? I've got one of those sitting here, I was looking for armor for a 1/144 Gundam urban combat diorama and it seemed a perfect fit. Haven't put it together yet. I've got the two 08th MS "ground war" kits since they're in same scale. I keep checking to see if other sci-fi / military stuff has been done in 1/144. I've got a Yukikaze kit in 1/144, and Kotobukiya also has the XFA-27 kit that would look good with it; there's even Hasegawa's 1/144 Ultra Hawk which would make a great shuttle for a couple of GMs to escort, but sci-fi tanks aren't very popular it seems, in any scale. HMR is closer to 1/90 or 1/100 though... something like this might look neat alongside a Monster: https://hlj.com/1-87-scale-type-66-anti-monster-maser-cannon-wavto-008 Quote

SpaceCowboy Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 @tekering Apologies if you've already gone over this - but I'm going to be getting some extra space in a new house and I'd like to get some glass display cases (perhaps with lighting) - where did you get yours? Also, is that diorama completely custom? That looks freaking amazing.... Quote
vlenhoff Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 If i had a city diorama, you guys would have to kick me off this site. Quote
