Mechapilot77 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 i want every toy in this line but i will be lucky if i can even get a preorder in for any of them. :-( i guess there is always ebay on release if NY doesn't get anymore in. Quote
CF18 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Compare with my VF-1S Roy: 6500 yen vs 8800 yen, new head laser, fast pack more blue than green, leg fast pack has UN Spacy markings. Still I would rather see something on my must buy list i.e. Destroids released instead of the may-be list. Quote
Frogze Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 The skull on the heatshield has also been lowered. Finally you got that right, Bandai! Quote
jvmacross Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Bandai continuing to impress....everything looks like an instabuy for me so far.... So does that tiny hatch on the Spartan look like it opens? Quote
jenius Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) I don't know about the tiny one but I hope the big red one does. Kinda hope we get pvc antennae with optional hard plastic ones. Edited May 30, 2015 by jenius Quote
jvmacross Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Wow...... seriously? I've always hoped Bandai would re-issue the classic Hi-Metal 1/55....but I'll settle for these.... Genius move..... So what's left to do at this scale for a complete DYRL set?? VF-1S Max? Q-Raus....N-Ger? Quote
lavinrac Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 This as probably been said before.. But I missed the HLJ pre-order of Armored VF-1J. I just use my HLJ Private warehouse so much Im hesitant to order from elsewhere. HOWEVER.. Who's the best place to pre-order these when it's time. I went to bed last time and it was not on the site. Woke up in morning and was sold out. I'm not used to missing sleep to it a pre-order.. but I might do it for a super ostrich. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 still waiting for perfect transform heat shield and those head laser look like they pop off and swap at least i hope so...bc i'd hate to have jetfire angled head lasers in fighter mode. Quote
jenius Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Pretty sure the original also had optional head lasers. Quote
CF18 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Pretty sure the original also had optional head lasers. Yes, they looks thicker than the new one. Quote
calubin_175 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 The figther proportions of Bandai is definitely inferior to Yamato, but their battroids look a little bit more balanced, except for the exposed thigh joint. The Glaug is HUGE. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Pretty sure the original also had optional head lasers. thanks! Quote
calubin_175 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) Package design The box size isn't much smaller than its vintage counterpart which is twice the scale with the strike pack. I wonder if that 1985 Hi Metal is a sealed one from their archives or just a random one they got from a store. Edited May 29, 2015 by calubin_175 Quote
wmkjr Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) That looks like the 1/55 scale strike valk is from their stash. So nice and clean looking. Edited May 29, 2015 by wmkjr Quote
skullmilitia Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 well, Finances, it was fun while you were under control... sigh. wait... it's Bandai.. sigh..*unzips* Quote

Black Valkyrie Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Wow. Well its nice that finally the VE and the VT are being produced. Now where is the VF-1D ? Quote
Tochiro Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 The package art is damn nice. Tenjin does it again. I must have spent a good 5 mins looking at it f^_^ Quote
GGemini Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Available again @ HLJ http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN966524/Act Quote
jvmacross Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Tenjin did the box art? Didn't think it was when I saw it. The news keeps getting better on this line! Quote

Loop Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 I just can't catch a break trying to get one of these, I always seem to just miss it. Quote
Mommar Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Ooh, the Glaug has turned out legs too. Looks good. I may be retiring that old Playmates thing once and for all. I hope the Battlepod has something similar, we never see it in much of a pose. I might even be sold on the Spartan and I was never really a fan. Quote
EXO Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I might even be sold on the Spartan and I was never really a fan. Me neither... but it does look good on those pictures (maybe because the other Destroids are not there... lol.) Quote

I wonder what types of poses it can hold minus the stand. Would love to get one of these, and a Monster, and a spartan and on and on... Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Damn, I wasn't into the Hi Metals since they were only releasing mostly VF-ones anyway, but now that I see destroids and enemy mech, I gotta have the whole line! Still, Arcadia could give Bandai a hard time if they decide to re-release the Elintseeker and Super Ostrich at the same time Bandai releases theirs, for instance. Quote

Gakken85 Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 May get a monster and spartan to round out some stuff. It's cool that they are doing a ostrichu and a elint.. but I'm more than happy with my 1/60's to buy smaller versions. Quote
