takatoys Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 One of the reasons I did not order the monster is shipping. And adding customs to the mix, it would cost me 200 dollars more to have it. I will only hope for a big discount later on and try to buy it then. Quote

mickyg Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 EMS Shipping from HLJ to Australia is 4,820. Sounds pretty reasonable, given some of the other prices I've seen. However, when adding a few other items in my PW, that went up to 7,600 ish. Ouch... Quote
peter Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Here she blows: In Japan right now, saw a bunch of Strike versions at Hobby Off for about $100, but after seeing them in person, not sure they're worth the ¥12,000 yen sticker price. For damn near $150 CAD, you figure the metal parts would be forged, not cast out of pot metal. Fuk Mac toys are pricey. 1/60 v2 strike Valk is ¥30,000... Ffs...... Quote
Universe1010 Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Still waiting for cdjapan confirmation email it was sent. I think they are the cheapest before shipping at 20,000 yen. Quote

beatsing Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 5960 yen here. That's almost the price of vf1a cf hmr! Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 HLJ just charged me 274 U$D (27,600 with SAL included). Good thing I only ordered one Monster, but damn! Quote
bbrain Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Only ordered one, maybe on day I will see one on sale Quote
koonfasa Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) You guys weren't expecting a hit like that with shipping? If I go SAL I think I'm within my customs limit. This is going to be exciting. I have no more space. Only ordered one, maybe on day I will see one on sale lol, ever thought of group preordering and cancelling! Edited July 29, 2016 by koonfasa Quote
barurutor Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Previous DX Robot Spirits Monster didn't weigh as much IIRC... Quote
arbit Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) For damn near $150 CAD, you figure the metal parts would be forged, not cast out of pot metal. My thoughts exactly. That's not real die-cast. But explain difference between forged and cast. Are they mixing plastic with the "die-cast". Edited July 29, 2016 by arbit Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) So want to own one. Do the cannons droop or are they clicky joints for vertical and horizontal posing? This is one of the Himetal I think I would have preferred if they let us assemble it despite being a toy. This could save on shipping, Edited July 29, 2016 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker Quote
ErikElvis Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I would have liked 2 but ouch. 29000 from amiami. I should sell a few things. Or just have my GF go in the toy room of all the stuff I haven't opened and just sell things. I prob wouldn't know the difference. Quote
easnoddy Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Sooooo big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha! DX VB-6 is so tiny in comparison! Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 True but being able to fly to get at close range has to count for something. Old Monster's feet are glued to the floor petty much. Quote
Gundam@EFSF Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Hong Kong player is really blessed, I grab it at just 205 usd Quote
beatsing Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 At least these toys are available. I hated the vf25 Chogokins craze because it was hard to even buy one. Scalpers were buying up a lot of the stock I think. Bandai better release the destroids before this line gets too hot and scalpers speculate on these. Quote
Universe1010 Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Mine shipped from cdjapan total with EMS to Canada was 25854 yen. Still expensive though. Quote
jvmacross Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Cool pics! Although I must say, that I prefer the ground fight scenes between these HM/HMR's..... The "anime magic" seems to get lost when you group HM/HMR VF's and Regults in "flight" battle poses.....unless you play with the perspective...like the perspective you captured in the last pic.....the Regults end up looking too small next to the VFs if they are not standing....well, IMO anyways Quote
