Loop Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 About the size of the monster, I hope I don't get bent over too hard when they ship. I ordered 2 from the same shop (HS). I think it may be painful to look at the shipping total when this gets released.. Quote
jvmacross Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 You have a good chance of actually paying less than someone having to get two from two different shops Quote
Duymon Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) I'm having mine shipped to my wife's house in Jpn. I'll pick it up at the end of the year when we visit her parents Edited March 26, 2016 by Duymon Quote
jvmacross Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I think you win for the highest "cost" to get them back to the US.... Quote
Bub Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Let more excitement flow... This is thing is really massive. I'm kinda glad I didn't get the previously released monsters... Quote
Bub Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 ... No, they don't come with "McDonald's" decals. Quote
sharky Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 ... No, they don't come with "McDonald's" decals. Of course not. They come with "Macrossnalds" decals Quote
anime52k8 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 That looks like a nice size. not too big but not too small. That glaug just looks hotter and hotter every time they show it off. Quote
vlenhoff Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Oh wow, that Glaug is pretty massive too, or is it the perspective? Quote
Bub Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 The Glaug is massive too. WARNING! OT picture of out of scale Regult and Glaug I just saw today (looks like the Glaug is sniffing): Quote
Roy Focker Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I'm pretty sure the Glaug and the Monster will be in partially dissembled state. We'll have to attach the barrels and maybe the lower gun arms. In a fully assembled boxed state the shipping would be too expensive. You could pay more for oversized boxes. Shelf space in physical stores is also a premium. No store is going to sale a single Monster that take up an entire shelf when they can put 6 small toys there instead. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 More pix to compare size: monster looks kind of small Quote
Dangard Ace Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 monster looks kind of small Could be the camera angle, could be that the Glaug legs are too stretched out and not sitting on it's haunches like in the scale chart. Comparing to the GPB though it does look small. Quote
Big s Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I just got an email from Amazon advertising the regult for $76, I think that qualifies for free shipping even though the price is a little higher the free shipping may make up for the cost. Quote
wmkjr Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 monster looks kind of small The legs looked compressed down to me. Maybe gain a couple mm's by extending it? Quote
sh9000 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 All of them are looking good next to each other so far. Quote

Roy Focker Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I think I paid $80 total with shipping for mine. $76 free shipping from Amazon's sounds like shipping has already been included in the price. Quote
EXO Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I got mine for $62 each but I bought three so the discount came in from the shipping. Not bad for EMS though. But it really does help preordering as early as you can. Hopefully we got a good jump on the Monster. Because that would be super expensive once it starts hitting the secondary market. People are saying that there's a ton on the toy stores in Japan. So if anyone is going, Go get a bunch and make a little bit on money on the side! Lol. Quote
jenius Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Hmm.... my wife is insisting she do my Hi-Metal R Monster review. I'll try to get her to keep her shirt on this time. Edited March 26, 2016 by jenius Quote
anime52k8 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I can confirm the $76 regult on amazon includes free shipping. I bought one because they were sold out everywhere else online and I wanted an extra. Quote

ZorClone Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 are they planning another GBP release or is the one from September all she wrote? I saw those on Amazon for $140 shipped but that's almost double the original price. I've always wanted a GBP but don't want to spend THAT much for a 1/100.. Anyone know of any 1/48 or 1/60 GBP armor-only for sale anywhere? Quote

Anyone know of any 1/48 or 1/60 GBP armor-only for sale anywhere? A "TV Version" was one of the options for the fan-vote competition they held so I would guess we'll get another GBP in the future. It might be a while though... they seem to have a lot in the pipeline. Quote

jenius Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I have a fear that's where she's going to go with it... Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I have a fear that's where she's going to go with it... Well at least she's interested in your hobby. My girlfriend just looks at me with this weird little smile like she's about to condescendingly going to pat me on the head and say "that's nice honey". Lol -b. Quote
jenius Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 In general I'd say the wifey is probably more along those lines as well but she does like the notion of being on Youtube and seeing people's comments. Quote

no3Ljm Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Hmm.... my wife is insisting she do my Hi-Metal R Monster review. I'll try to get her to keep her shirt on this time. Hahaha! I just thought of your SDF-1 review after you mentioned that. But will she do the whole review this time then? Coz this specific Destroy Monster doesn't transform like the MM Makurosu does. Well at least she's interested in your hobby. My girlfriend just looks at me with this weird little smile like she's about to condescendingly going to pat me on the head and say "that's nice honey". Lol -b. Mine is more like "Toys again?" with matching raising eyebrow. Hahaha! In general I'd say the wifey is probably more along those lines as well but she does like the notion of being on Youtube and seeing people's comments. Maybe she needs to start her own channel to review Macross toys. That would be something. Quote
