Old Man Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Wow, looks smaller than I expected next to that Focker toy. Uhhh...yeah... Quote
Lolicon Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hope it can actually stand on its own feet. Quote
jenius Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I'll bet it can but they're showing the display since it comes with it. I think the Regult off to the side also is using its stand. Quote
wmkjr Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) Wow, looks smaller than I expected next to that Focker toy. Probably the angle and lens is making it look small. IXTL has a good video showing the display. Here's 2 pics of the same display taken at different angles: From Bandai's page but from what happened with the Advance take it with a grain of salt. Ignacio Ocamica Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Thanks for the pics!!! Tampo printing on the right booster is upside down. Hope bandai corrects it. Quote
jvmacross Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 The Glaug looks good next to the VF-1S. Yep....Nailed it per the line art group shot....and that's all that matters Quote

F360 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 looking good so far, the first pic scared me a little due to the smaller size, glad it was just camera work in effect. Quote
seti88 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 perhaps a video from early this month would reassure fans.....the rocking music does help too... Quote
QEssential Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 The Glaug can't stand on it's own?!? lol Quote
yman1437 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) Could it be that was only a prototype? With tapes holding join that kind of thing. What is kind of late to still only show a prototype though right? The Glaug can't stand on it's own?!? lol Edited January 31, 2016 by yman1437 Quote
seti88 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 The stand could be just a brace for display purposes...remember there were arm stands in the displays in the beginning but those arent seen now supporting the arms.. OOTB, i wouldnt want any toy to have to depend on a stand, but rather as an option than none. Then, I can brace the toy as and when is desired, so joints remain stiff over time... Quote
jenius Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I feel like every time there's a picture of a toy with a stand everyone always freaks out and assumes it can't stand on its own and it ALWAYS can. Quote
QEssential Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I feel like every time there's a picture of a toy with a stand everyone always freaks out and assumes it can't stand on its own and it ALWAYS can. I'm pretty sure the Glaug would be able to stand on its own given its huge feet and wide stance. It was more of a sarcastic remark... like geez Bandai must you always include stands in your pics? lol Quote
jenius Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I think they think the stand is a selling point. Comes with stand, YAY! Probably more so for the Glaug since it's kind of hard to imagine any cool extras it comes with. Oooh they should have made Regult option parts come with the Glaug (like the med/long range missile parts). Quote

Oooh they should have made Regult option parts come with the Glaug (like the med/long range missile parts). Haha! That's a good idea! Anyways I don't see the point with this stand. A good stand should provided/support flying or some sort of action pose but this Glaug stand merely supports itself standing! Hence many would assume it can't stand on its own or has some inherent balance issues. Edited January 31, 2016 by QEssential Quote
seti88 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 'Wonder' if the monster is to be displayed at the 'wonder' festival @ upcoming sunday? http://tamashii.jp/special/macross/#wf Quote
F360 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I would be much happier if they come with some effect parts. Quote
Big s Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I really like when an action figure comes with a stand. I live in SoCal where quakes happen often and sometimes my figures have had too much to drink. Quote

Old Man Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) Regult available at CdJapan guys: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-157209 I was hoping this would become available to more members here. Edited February 1, 2016 by Old Man Quote
Big s Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I checked that page and the price for regult at cd japan is $47, not bad. Quote
SaitouSad Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 mega bummed, because I already got 2, and would not mind springing for a 3rd, but it will not be worth it after factoring shipping.Pity too, because CD Japan has like the lowest price for the Regults, when you compare it against Amiami and HLJ's prices Quote
calubin_175 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Just realised today was Bandai day. Best seller was Kuuga Rising Mighty. Still tons of Super Saiyan Goku etc. Quote
hal9000 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Managed to get two on cd Japan, thanks for the post. Quote
mechaninac Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 ...but it will not be worth it after factoring shipping. ... They're offering Registered SAL as a shipping option (1310 Yen); even with PayPal conversion fee, CDJ's price can't be beat. I put an order in for one, with a 100 Yen discount I had, my total came to 6990 Yen = 59.18 USD. Quote
Vermillion One Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Finally got one, thanks for the heads up. Quote
sh9000 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Cool. Just got another one at cdjapan. With the points I had it came out pretty damn cheap. I'm closing all of the Regult pages on my phone. I now have a lot of Regults. Quote
Magnus Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 So I can get the GBP VF-IJ priced for Y12700 at a local store tomorrow. I'm very torn, so i'm asking you guys for advice: 1) Is this figure more of a toy than an expensive model? Meaning, is it fun to play with? That's kind of what i'm looking for. 2) Is the transformation relatively simple and easy compared to the 1/60's and 1/48's? 3) Is the partsforming a pain or relatively painless? The add-on landing gear instinctively bugs me, but i'm wondering how much of an issue it would be. Overall, do you find that it's worth the price? Quote
