Seriously, all I want are the packs to install on all the other valks I already have.  Why is that so hard for Bandai? :rolleyes:  It's like they have some sort of manufactured scarcity fetish for their own products.

I had this thought when looking at the VF-0 and now again with this VF-1, but the panel lines look really deep. Like carved with a paper clip deep. Obviously the 0 is a new mold so we don't know, but do they look as pronounced on the VF-1 in hand?

Oh I'm good with these three scales. ;)

To be honest I'm not a fan of the KC VF's (something off about them to me), for 1/72 scale I'm all onboard for model kits.

Oh! So, is this going to be an actual release? 

Wasn't very sure if I wanted to get some hi metal (since I wasn't able to grab either Max and Miria supers or or Hikaru GBP).

Guess this will be a good chance.

Really glad to see this finally happening, even if I already customized one from other Hi-Metal parts. As others have said, this will make a good supply for those who want TV-styled super parts & missiles, not to mention side covers. I'm in for at least 2.

I do wonder how the color on the super parts will compare to what was released 10 years ago in Hi-Metal. Hope it's the same to match with my sizeable stash of older parts.

That would be cool if the colors of the HM and HMR set are the same.

They look pretty similar in color to the old Hi-Metal fast packs, at least in noel's pics. But in borgified's scans, they looks more gray. But I'll chalk that up the scanner's color processing not being calibrated.

Other than the dark canopy and micro pilot, this looks awesome!

I'm probably in for one, I don't have a TV 1S in any scale, so this fills a nice little niche.  I have to assume this is a worldwide release, as this seems almost tailor-made for all the Robotech fans out there that never bothered to import.

Is it the most exciting HMR release?  Nah, but some Macross HMR is better than no Macross HMR.

I think I'll convert one spare VF-1S into a TV Roy by just swapping the pilot with my custom TV Roy pilot figure.  I'll convert another spare into a white DYRL Roy by giving it the HMR Strike Armor and DYRL Roy pilot figure and painting the dot on the head.

If the promo pics didn't have the MWW marking, it's Japan release only. At this point, consider that anything coming out from SDFM/DYRL series, will not be released Worldwide. However, still, some non-SDFM/DYRL releases, if it's a TWE release, chances are, it might not be a Worldwide release.

That's unfortunate, and pretty weird, given what would actually sell well worldwide.  Maybe that was part of the deal between BW and HG, I dunno.

I'll probably try to get one still, but if it turns into another preorder madness insta-sell out, I'll just skip it.

With the HM TV 1S and HMR DYRL 1S both already in my collection, my first reaction is "Hold". But then I see the dupes I have of the already released stuff and my mind says "Buy". I mean, I don't really *need* three Hikaru 1Js

Tatsunoko Production and Harmony Gold still hold the worldwide (excluding Japan) merchandising rights to SDFM/DYRL, which is why it's not being released here. Last year's licensing agreement between them and Big West didn't change that.

The movie one is a bit more flat in the chin if I remember. I have mine packed for a move though the previous page has a picture and the lense shape is a bit different angle

Hmm I could swap the Roy pilot in the HMR DYRL VF-1S Roy for a TV Hikaru or Roy pilot to have an easy TV Low Vis VF-1S.

The tampo of the kite symbols and UN SPACY markings are going to be nice on the Super Parts of the HMR VF-1S TV Hikaru compared to the HM Super/Strike Parts stickers.

Aside from all of the earlier teased HMR, Bandai seems to be following through with at least the HMR they announced on their site a short while back.  Looking forward to the Tomahawk release date and ordering many.

The VF-1S DYRL Strike Roy was teased with the Regult Scout.  I could still see Bandai releasing the Scout as a TWE.

I’m hoping for a standard release though. I’m not sure where a good source for web exclusives are these days for Japan only releases. Hopefully we also get to see more enemies and the last couple destroids

If it does release, almost certainly going to be a web exclusive, just like the missile regults.
