Your poses are excellent and I couldn't match them.  But I have to say that there's a major assist here from Bandai.  It always amazes me that they seem to capture the spirit of respective anime franchises more than any other toy company.  Truly amazing.  Hats off to you both.

With more time at home these days, I’ve been arranging my HMR shelves a bit, and really wishing Bandai would give us a TV Max VF-1A as well as that Tomahawk we first saw 5 years ago.

if you are going to do that, make sure you use a blue or green screen. It is a whole lot of work, if you don't.

Have you tried to create that SFX accessory using your hot glue gun technique?  It looks really good on the gunpod...
