I put the VF-2SS with SAP on a stand and adjusted the stand arm that comes with the missile effects set so that it could be positioned lower.

I added a custom VE-1 with Fast Packs and a VT-1.  The last one in there will be a standard VE-1.

Finally snagged a Hikaru 1S Strike today! It's usually up there on the more expensive side (¥17,000-19,000) with Roy's Strike, but Jungle had one for ¥13,200 in B condition, so I pounced on it. I've had good luck with their B-level stuff, so I'm willing to take the chance. The last B item I ordered was the Missile Effect Set and the description said it had been opened and displayed. Opened, yes. Displayed? Not likely, unless it was in the tray with the cover on it. Pieces looked brand new and all of the plastic bits were still on the sprues.

I had a B level item from them come yellowed and panel lined so I'm a little weary of that grade now! I'm sure that was an exception though.

I’ll work on the third shelf tomorrow.  I’m going to put at least 5 more CF VF-1s in there.

It’s a Bandai DX Konig Monster.

Once the VF-4G gets released, I’ll probably put it at the top in that shelf and move the custom CF VF-1J that’s currently there to another spot.

There are three versions of it: Regular, SP, and Wings of Goodbye. The last one is a little darker green than the first two and both the SP and WoG versions have "nose art" but they are different.

All three regularly show up on Mandarake, if you're patient. Looks like @sh9000 has the same one I do (WoG).

Thanks guys! I put it on my wish list. I'm not ready for a big Mandrake order right now (I try and get  a few things at a time to amortize shipping). But when I am I'll pick one up. I need one in shuttle mode for my HMR fleet!

You will not be let down. The build quality of any of these three is amazing. The only down side is they are a bit puny when compared to the 1/100 Koenig by Yamato or the HMR. The difference is clear when directly compared. When you throw them all into a grouping their sizes seem to work pretty well in Battroid.

My kiddo loves to play with these.

Yup. I had the last Konig still in the box when this was taken.

Well, now that 2019 is just about in the history books, it's official:  The Hi Metal R VF4 Lightning III is hands down my toy of the year.  Nothing else I bought this year came close.  What an amazing little toy; just lovely in both modes.

I'm sure you all were dying to know what some stranger thought was the best toy of the year....but now you know.  Merry Christmas!

Thanks @vlenhoff!  I added one more CF to go with the Konig in the third shelf and will take a pic later.  I think that shelf is done for now until the VF-4G gets released.  Luckily mine are coming from Amazon JP so they’ll be here shortly after the release date.

The fourth shelf already has a VF-1J Armored Valkyrie, a custom CF VF-1A Armored Valkyrie, a custom VF-1J Max Armored Valkyrie, a Spartan, and a Defender.  I just need to put in a HMR Monster.
