ScrambledValkyrie Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I'm probably going to pass on the Spartan and keep sticking to just Valkyries, mainly due to limited funds and display space. I think I also enjoy VFs more due to the transformations. However, the Spartan does look really cool and well done, and it would be tempting to get one, especially since Hikaru did pilot one at a certain point. Overall I am glad to see Bandai continuing the HMR line into 2017 with some diversity. Here's to more! Quote
Loop Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Damn I would love to be able to get a hold a VF-1J head. Was a VF-1J cf ever even shown as an option for future release?? Quote
barurutor Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 sh9000 can you link to the color used to convert the 1J head to 1A CF color? I think I'll just customize my missing pilot 1J into a 1J CF. Quote
sh9000 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I mixed raw sienna, phthalocyanine green, and white. Quote

jenius Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I thought the Spartan was going to be a web exclusive? If it's not, I wouldn't be worried about preorder madness... it seems the HMR series is beyond that now with all releases becoming obtainable after release since the VF-1S Hikaru. Quote
sh9000 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Major pass from them. The price of $59.99 isn't bad but the only shipping option is an additional $49.10. No way. Quote

I can't seem to get it on the stage plus Expand Borrowed pic from jenius. There are three connector pieces for the stand. The top one is for Fighter, the middle one is for Battroid, and the bottom one is for Gerwalk. Use the middle piece to connect to a rod or display stand port and then to the leg bar/connector of the Battroid. The Battroid will be like it is carried on a small tray. Hope that helps. Quote
amptor Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 What color will the armored vf-1a Valerie be? Thanks Quote

Thanks Expand IIRC, there was no official 'color' for an Armored VF-1A CF. But if were going to base it from old ARII/IMAI kits, it's somehow like a moss green color variant. Photo courtesy of CollectionDX. But there's also that 'black' colored Armored VF-1A with red trimmings in the anime series too. Edited December 30, 2016 by no3Ljm Quote
arbit Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I'll take an HMR blue Spartan, but ONLY if it has tampo of the anime girl on the chest. Quote

aaajin Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Hello! Just joined the ranks of HMR owner, awaiting my Roy/CF/Regult to arrive soon! Was surprised to see the MSRP for spartan is upward of 7k Yen! Prolly will end up scouring secondary market after release And since the trio destroid (tomahawk/defender/phalanx) are yet to be seen, could Bandai actually plan to release them as a combo like the oldies? wmkjr Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Looks like a standard release for the Spartan. I was under the impression that all the ones with the brown "Tamashii web shop" were the web exclusives. Quote
MikeRoz Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Is it known whether they will ever release a set of super parts alone? I would like a set for my CF. Quote
jenius Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Unknown but I'd call it likely, especially if they reissue the DYRL skull squad 1As at some point. Quote
