Big s Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 The monster looks like it's well worth the money.😂 Quote
jenius Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Paid for shipping a few days ago from HLJ... still no shipping notice Quote
optimuspint Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Mine has been shipped... Just waiting now. So stoked to see how big it is!!! Quote
spanner Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) my order status at NY still says "awaiting customer reply" even though I have replied and paid the additional shipping charges as requested. I also sent them a message but they have not yet replied to that either.. thinking its just b'cos they are busy with excess orders and not that there is any issue of any sort.. im really hoping it gets shipped today, then I should receive it by the end of the week to enjoy over the weekend! fingers crossed! Revonaut Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Thanks for the info guys. I'll just stick to original releases then. My monster is at hlj private warehouse. Good thing I'm patient cause I wanna save on shipping. Quote
Loop Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 nice! they should be in hand very soon then! who did you order them through? I got them @ HS. Quote
ArchieNov Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Just got mine. I feel like some pics (like the one with the VF-0S) make it look bigger than it really is. Be aware when installing the cannons. They're not all identical. Only 2 of them have the UN Spacy tampo and these should go on their respective sides. Quote
seti88 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Nice lineup! From the top view the long cannons make the monster look larger than perceived it seems.. The regult mid jump pose is awesome! Cmon bandai! scouts and missile variants plz... Edited August 1, 2016 by seti88 Quote

easnoddy Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Yep, it's the grail. Can't wait! Can you extend the knees? The scaling with your Glaug is really bugging me now. He has both of the leg joints at their lowest point. Quote
treatment Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 He has both of the leg joints at their lowest point. Yeah. He's also got the Glaug in the shorter A-stance battle-form instead of neutral stance. Quote
ArchieNov Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Yep, it's the grail. Can't wait! He has both of the leg joints at their lowest point. Actually, the legs of the Monster were fully extended. If it was retracted, the "thigh armor plates" would be angled forward. Extending the knees only increases the height by about half an inch. jenius Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 THere is that funky waist extension also if you want it to look extra tall. Quote
easnoddy Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Somewhere in this thread this pic pops up a couple've times: Screenshot (4).png This one looks considerably higher, but maybe not. Quote
ArchieNov Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) This one looks considerably higher, but maybe not. Hmm, the manual doesn't mention anything about an additional extension there. Let me check and try. EDIT: Okay it seems I didn't have the legs fully extended. I missed pushing the feet backward. It adds an extra 1 inch more to the height. There are 2 areas where you can extend the legs, the first part is between the hip and knee, and the second is between the knee and foot. Thanks for pointing that out. ArchieNov Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Comparison with a 1/100 scale Gundam model just for fun. The Sazabi looks like it can kick the Monster's ass around all day. Edited August 1, 2016 by ArchieNov Quote
barurutor Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 huh, so there are clear bracers for the cannon. nifty. Quote
ArchieNov Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Hey Archie. Which parts are diecast? I haven't really tried checking that thoroughly, but the obvious ones are those two gigantic metal ball joints at the hips and the soles of the feet. The prop up stand used to elevate the Monster's "mouth" is also diecast. That's all I've found so far. If there's more then it's probably internal. Quote
Big s Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 The Sazabi is one of the larger mobile suits. Quote

ArchieNov Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Whoa that Sazabi looks badass. You built that yourself? Long live the UC Gundam. Yes, I built it, but it's just a straight build out of the box with panel lining and decals. No painting involved (I got no skills for that). And yes, UC forever! It's the only timeline worth watching Is this a ladder or stairs? Or maybe an escalator? The angle doesn't seem right for either one. Quote
no3Ljm Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) *snip* Is this a ladder or stairs? Or maybe an escalator? The angle doesn't seem right for either one. Based on the schematic art in Macross Mecha Manual, it looks like a ladder. Edited August 1, 2016 by no3ljm Quote
