spanner Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 so theoretically then the HWR Monster should be nearly as tall as a v2 VF-1 in battroid.. Or at least im hoping so. Quote
Gunn Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 so theoretically then the HWR Monster should be nearly as tall as a v2 VF-1 in battroid.. Or at least im hoping so. VF-1 @ 1/60 scale would be about 21.13 cm (8.3"), monster @ 1/100 scale would be approx. 22.65 cm (8.9"). So yeah, should be similar. Quote
arbit Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Gonna go great next to the few 1/100 scale items (Konig, Q-Rare, and Toynami's Veritches). LOL...just kidding about the last part...I wouldn't be caught with those piece of $hit. Usually I wouldn't be so harsh, but with Toynami... Quote
EXO Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Just got billed by and paid mykombini for fockers.... it stated something about fees... I haven't checked if that was part of the original invoice. If they were tacked on I probably won't use them again. I probably won't buy these exclusives unless it's more than just the stand. Quote

I just paid for my Roy Focker's VF-1S from mykomobini. Yes, a fee of 200 yen was added to the price. Quote
F360 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 The fee just shows how much PayPal charges them the seller , that is part of the seller using payment , you did not pay anything extra . Quote
treatment Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Somebody over TD is showing off his panel-lined HM-R Strike Hikky-1S: http://toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-245934-1-1.html A bit thick, imo. Also, didn't realize the jolly roger is a bit crooked on the tail until his pic: Edited December 30, 2015 by treatment Quote
Big s Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I think that the picture is off center. If you go by the angle of the parts and the panel line it looks straight. Quote
mechaninac Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 It may be slightly off, but by no more than 1o or so. The horizontal lines on the tail is tilted in relation to the image; rotate the picture clockwise by about 4-5 degrees and the crookedness almost disappears. Quote
sh9000 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Also, didn't realize the jolly roger is a bit crooked on the tail until his pic: 10454262_10153468318363585_9164325715056591593_o.jpg It's good enough. Quote
fenrir72 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 My first two pain in the @ss to order HiMetal R series. Worth the wait. Quote
Chronocidal Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Problem with using the original VF-84 skull and crossbones... the bones aren't actually level. The level line would probably be the line through both eye sockets. Makes me wonder how many of the crooked skulls we've seen over the years could have been caused by this. Quote
UN Spacy Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 IMHO waaaay too much Gundam marker for those panel lines...gotta keep it subtle baby. Quote
treatment Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 IMHO waaaay too much Gundam marker for those panel lines...gotta keep it subtle baby. Agreed. Looks like the dude used a gm-01. Rather heavily. Prolly should've used a gm-02 instead, and lightly... Quote
sh9000 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 whoa nice pic Thanks. I like how they display together. Quote
Saburo Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 @sh9000, that's a nice group shot. Now I am regretting not getting the VF-1J. Quote
DuffCon Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 My first two pain in the @ss to order HiMetal R series. Worth the wait. What site was that? Quote
Tking22 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 So I've got a request, I hope someone can help me out. Can anyone that has them, take photos of and compare the Hi-Metal R Hikaru 1S with one of the old Hi-Metal DYRL 1As? I'm really wondering about the color, were the old DYRL Hi-Metals made in the same bright white as the other old Hi-Metals? Or were they more greyish like the Hi-Metal Rs? I wouldn't care which, any 1A would work, Hikaru, Max, or Kakizaki, I just want to know if the colors match or if they would look awkward together. Quote
Test_Pilot_2 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Finally got my strike in today. Not having experience with previous 1/100s aside from old Banprestos I think this little guy is phenomenal. Not disappointed at all, although my kids said they thought it looked so "cute" after comparing it to my larger scale valks. Quote
fenrir72 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) What site was that? amiami/hlj. Both were like so hard to search for in the site (hlj I'm looking at you) and by the time you clicked, it was like sold! In amiam's case, at 4:00 P.M. JP time day for official solicitation, the site was like difficult to acces then SOLD OUT sold out in like 3 minutes. I got lucky in another site with their waiting list system. If not for the waiting list luck, I'd have gotten the more expensive limited Roy Focker. At present, still on the waiting list for the Regult. So this is the second time Regult was released. jenius Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 So this is the second time Regult was released. Negative, it's probably a Toynami vinlyl Regult. Quote
Old Man Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Negative, it's probably a Toynami vinlyl Regult. It doesn't look like a Toynami to me...a kit maybe? Could it be the Bandai 1/72??? Quote
derex3592 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Looks like the old 80's Matchbox Robotech battle pod to me....but it's to small Edited January 1, 2016 by derex3592 Quote
Old Man Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Just unboxed my Hikaru 1S Strike...I've gotta say, I'm quite impressed. The Armored 1J was great as well, but after this last release, I'm definitely sold on this line. The joints are much stiffer than my Hi-Metal Roy 1S Strike ever were, the backpack is surprisingly solid, while the Fast Packs and other accessories integrate seamlessly. I couldn't ask for anything else at this scale, and can't wait for the Regult and Glaug. Quote
Lolicon Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 That 1/72 scale Regult looks like it goes really well (size-wise) with the HMR valks. Looks like how big the HMR Regult ought to be. Quote
sh9000 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Nah the Matchbox toy looks like this from jenius' pic. Btw fenrir72, I love your signature. Completely accurate about a less popular Macross thread I know of someplace else. Not my pic but it shows good scale in 1/60. The 1/72 Regult scales ok with HMR though.
